Write 31 Days Five-Minute Spiritual Journeys
Ending (For Now)
October bleeds away into November as colors filled the trees, reds, oranges, and browns. I drive in my community and see Fall is peaking, but now winter waits. I am living in another change of seasons.
My writing seasons are also melding. I finished the Write 31 Days series on a solid note: 26 out of 31 days successfully posted. I had two days of computer problems that prevented me from posting this weekend. I failed to finish two of the five-minute prompts by Kate Motaung: almost and bacon.
It makes me sad in a way though. I almost finished. (Prompt 31) I almost made it. My computer, however, refused to operate this weekend. I ran diagnostics and tried to restore the computer to backup points but to no avail. I could not get past the opening screen. Suddenly, however, after running another tuneup program, Monday; the computer powered up and I was able to write and blog.
I strove to catch up, however, having to write scheduled book review posts. I felt compelled to finish these posts first because I felt I promised others, and I did not want to let them down.
Now looking back, I find pride in my accomplishment of blogging. I shared my heart and soul.
My series goal centered on reflections of God’s love in my spiritual journey. I wrote autobiographically about my faith when facing adversity as an abused woman but finding hope and real love in these posts:
- Day 6: With God All Things Are Possible
- Day 11: Finding Rest in Him
- Day 15: Laughter Brings Redemption
- Day 21: Power of His Waves
- Day 22: Never Doubt Your Value to Jesus
- Day 25: Living in Crash Mode
- Day 26: Whisper Sweet Spirit
- Day 27: Perhaps
- Day 29: Finding Hope in God’s Sea Tides
I also reflected on motherhood and family:
- Day 1: A Mother’s Calling
- Day 2: God’s Ideal of a Loving Family
- Day 3: Captured By Your Love, Jesus
- Day 28: Finding Hope in Celebrating My Daughter’s Birthday
My Write 31 Days journey also moved me to worship and poetry about God’s love and forgiveness.
- Day 7: Defining God’s Love
- Day 8: Purple Royalty Covers My Sins
- Day 10: Ready
- Day 16: Green : A New Movement for Christ
- Day 17: What Do I Offer Him?
- Day 18: What Makes Me Worthy?
- Day 19: Honoring God With Our Reading
- Day 20: Temporary Sufferings of The Persecuted
- Day 23 & 24: Silence in Joy
- Day 26: Whisper Sweet Spirit
I also took time to encourage others to support flood victims in my home state.
- Day 4: Embrace Victims in Prayer Tonight
- Day 5: What Happens When Home is Gone?
- Day 9: Trust Tested in the Storm
- Day 12: Surviving Storms and Floods in Life
My end destination reached, I hope this series has touched my readers.
This post concludes my participation in the Write for 31 Days challenge, an online writing challenge started by home blogger, Myquillyn Smith (The Nester), and now hosted by Crystal Stine, where bloggers pick one topic and write a post on that topic every day in October. Kate provided prompts with feedback from hundreds of bloggers for the 2015 edition of 31 Days of Five Minute Free Writes, Readers’ Choice Awards, a writing link-up in conjunction with the annual Write 31 Days Challenge.

Abby thanks so much for the support. 😉

My comment was on computer snags and how we all “hate” the inconvenience. My hubby lost a story he was writing and several weeks later he found it in a place he failed to look.
Each night before I retire, I use a Free program Advanced System Care 8. Thanks for sharing at Tell me a Story.

I can’t wait to dive in and catch up on your posts. It is hard for me to stay focused on some things. Carving out blogging time is hard . Sorry your computer was not cooperating. That is never fun.
Jennifer, I am just glad that it came back from the dead. I love the diagnostic and tune up tools that HP added to my computer. I could run those by pressing escape at startup. It worked. My computer is also running better.
