I took the picture for this series in February 2014. I hoped history would repeat itself and my snowy dreams would come true as I wrote about winter magic. God seemed to have other plans and sent the rain instead.
I discovered this verse as I began writing this series:
ISAIAH 55:10
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,
Rain can nourish the ground and bring forth beauty and bread to eat. Each shimmering, magical drop has a purpose even in winter.
This winter I may long for snowflakes to dance, but I still love the shimmering wetness of rain.
