Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Wintering birds find water on my porch.

Birds flock to my feeder all year long, but especially in the winter.

Psalm 104:12
Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell; they sing among the branches.

I love the cardinals that visit my yard on a cool wintery day.
Many birds remain in my southern town during the winter months. They visit my backyard frequently where I keep water and a feeder for them.
It amazes me, however, that these birds survive cold and flourish in our neighborhood. Their beautiful songs entertain me as I listen outside my bedroom windows.
Jesus used the birds in a parable to demonstrate how much He cares for you and me. The birds find food and are brilliantly arraigned even in the midst of winter. If He cares so much for the little sparrow, how much more does he care for you and me.

Beautiful Mary! Lovely colors on the birds.
How is your health going in your wintery cold weather?
Blessings,

Love this post and the photos! Just heard the beautiful song, “His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me…” so comforting to know our Heavenly Father cares for each of us. Many blessings to you ❤️
Beautiful post, Mary! I need to get some bird feeders up. I love your photos! Blessings and love to you, my friend! xo
What a fun bird feeder!#LMNLinkUp
I enjoy the cardinals too. I can recognize their song and will look for the bird that is singing.
I’ve loved birds ever since I was a small child. My mom said I would get up at 5:30 in the morning and go to the front picture window and just sit and watch them in the yard.
I can remember falling asleep when I was 6 or 7 when it was still light out being comforted by the Robin’s night song.
Or laying on my sled underneath a big pine tree watching the brilliant blue jays.
And to this day, I just find so much comfort in watching birds, because it reminds me of my Heavenly Father’s care for me.

I love seeing these birds. I often notice birds more in the winter months since the leaves are stripped off the trees. The cardinals and the blue jays show up so much brighter!
Amen! Our Father does care for us! Thanks for the reminder, Mary. Blessings to you!

I love birds too, I used to feed them early in the morning and had lots of doves.
I love them too. They bring g a lot of beauty to my day. Thanks for stopping by.
Here in New Hampshire we have quite a few as well, though probably different from yours, except we do have a cardinal pair in the yard. We also have a flock of about 25 turkeys who visit daily. And we have a heated birdbath for the chickadees, sparrows, mourning doves, etc. Thanks for posting your pictures.
Sounds so lovely. I love the idea of a heated birdbath. Thanks for sharing.
