Lauren Gaskill focuses on one mission: helping women understand how beautiful and lovely they are in God’s eyes.
She writes :
“Every day I remind myself that no matter what I face:
I am a daughter of the One True God. (John 1:12)
I am loved more than I could ever imagine. (John 3:16)
I am a living work of art — a true masterpiece. (Ephesians 2:10)
I am more precious and valuable than jewels. (Proverbs 3:15)
She reminds us of this daily on her blog and special Finding Joy Podcasts during which invites leading speakers and writers to reinforce her message of our special places in God’s heart.

Lauren Gaskill: Biography Information
Lauren Gaskill is an author, speaker and host of the Finding Joy podcast. She is in the process of publishing her first non-fiction inspirational book. Lauren Gaskill : Gospel Story, How She Came to Know Christ as Her Savior.
I struggled with severe anxiety attacks in high school. The attacks got so bad that I started to hate the girl I saw in the mirror staring back at me.
When God didn’t answer my prayers of surrender and deliver me from the anxiety, I began to doubt His love for me. Even worse, I began to doubt my value. Maybe I’m not worth saving, I thought to myself. It was a total lie from the enemy, but in my weakened state I let it take root in my soul.
It wasn’t until a few years later, when God brought a counselor into my life, that I began to understand who I was as a daughter of God. The more we talked through the lies and labels I’d given myself, the more I began to see that I wasn’t positively horrible — I was Positively Lovely!
Her Favorite Verse and How It Became Important to Her
Proverbs 3:3 is a constant compass for my soul — a refreshing reminder to
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you. Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.”
Her Blogging Story
I’ve been writing since I was a little girl, and my second passion is inspiring others, so the blog was born out of those two passions. I originally started out blogging about food and faith, but as God has called me deeper into ministry, my focus is on encouraging women to claim their identity as a Positively Lovely daughter of God, and live out of that new identity.
Her Blogging Mission
I am a storyteller. I believe stories are powerful, and I love how God uses them for His good. I write and speak to motivate and inspire others to experience abundant life in Christ.
I am particularly passionate about encouraging women to claim their identity as a Positively Lovely daughter of God.
As a woman who has a chronic illness, I also write and speak about what it looks like to walk with Jesus through pain and suffering.

What Inspires Her to Write for Christ?
There is such a need in this world for encouragement — a positive voice that can cut through the distraction, clutter and negative chatter that often fills our lives. If I can just inspire one person to keep growing in their faith and trust in Jesus, that’s enough for me. And that’s what keeps me going.
Her Favorite Song
Oh my sweet goodness. I could never pick just one! I’ve been really into “Stars” by Skillet lately, but I also love anything by Sleeping At Last, Hillsong, Bethel Music and U2.

A Personal Blogging Story
I had a reader email me the other week telling me that she also had the connective tissue disorder I have, and that my writings have encouraged her to seek joy in spite of pain. Stories like that are what keep me motivated!
Her Blogging Tips
Her Thoughts To Inspire and Uplift
Last year, I was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Hypermobility Syndrome. It’s a connective tissue disorder that can cause a lot of problems throughout the body, mainly chronic pain and degeneration. The enemy meant for this to be a joy stealer for me, but instead it has been a joy bringer! I just want to take a second and encourage anyone reading this who is going through something that’s chronic — I totally understand. And I’m sorry. I wish God would heal all of us, but in the meantime, I’m telling you He will provide your need. He will bring you joy. Just run to Him, and let His goodness and grace wash over you.
I’m so blessed and honored that you are reading this today, and I’d love to hear from you! No matter what you’ve done, no matter where you are today — you are loved more than you could ever imagine. You are Positively Lovely in our Father’s eyes.

Completely inspired, rejuvenated and fresh after reading your article Your faith, love and positivity is infectious. i simply loved this quote “Never, never, never compare yourself to anyone else. Not your numbers, not your writing, not your web design. Just be you and faithfully pursue what God has called you to do — one day and one step at a time.”
This going to be my motto for the rest of my life.

Thank you for stopping by so much. I am glad you enjoyed the post.
Thank you for introducing Lauren to us here at Tell me a True Story Blog Party. I especially liked the Blogging tips. Just be yourself and don’t try to be someone else. It is important to learn our Identity in Christ by having a set of scriptures to use as confirmations or confessions. Positive Scriptures build up our faith and encourage us to realize God’s amazing love for us. So many consider themselves ugly, worthless, poor, weak and fearful, but God’s Word tells us we are beautiful in His sight, Blessed and made rich by his grace, strong and bold, and courageous.
