The beauty of winter can mesmerize you as you watch frost tentacles stretch across the ground. Winter can also become a time to inquire of the Lord.
During the long cold days and nights, I spend more time inside. This winter has been no different. Instead of snow, the land is bathed in cold rain and the days are frigid and dank. Then we have a few days of wet warmth when Spring promise seems on the horizon.
I know I can inquire of the Lord daily, and He will answer. His promises never go unfulfilled.
God provides even in the deepest and coldest of days. He brings renewal and strength.
Psalm 1:3
He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
Isaiah 45:3, NKJV
I will give you the treasures of darkness
and hidden riches of secret places,
that you may know that I, the Lord,
who calls you by your name, am the God of Israel.”
