Winter months linger in harshness some years.
I remember a winter when I never stepped foot into a church. I seemed to have lost my way, forgotten Him. I am ashamed that the church never crossed my mind. I never even opened a Bible that harsh winter.
One day, I traveled to the mall and went by a Christian book store. I loved books; so, I entered. I felt a calling and longing over wash me as I looked at the spines of the books. The sensation literally felt like sparks igniting on my fingertips! Devotionals seemed to beckon. I found a beautiful book about winter time and faith. I thumbed through it. The beautiful pictures and scriptures spoke to me. I wish I could remember the name of the book but it eludes me now.
I longed for God with a deep hunger that day. I left the store determined to reconnect and went to church the next day.
