Gift of Different At Christmas Time

December 15, 2017 By Mary Hill 9 Comments

God Created Us to Be Different

Isaiah 64:8

Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay,

you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

We walk this earth wondering what is our mission? What is our call?

I especially pray over this daily as I ponder the future of work as a blogger and writer for Christ.

I may not reach thousands of readers because God created a unique writer in me.

His goals for me are different than those for other bloggers and writers.

As I walk through this Holy Season of Advent and  approach the New Year, I set my heart on the word Different.

How can I make next year different for Christ. How can I fulfill His calling in my life?

The definition of insanity  is doing  the same thing, expecting different results.

Lord, I do not want 2018 to be the same. I do not want to do the same things.

I want to expand in my spirituality, growing closer to Jesus.

I desire to write more for Him; to win more souls for Jesus’s Kingdom.

Striving to stand out in praise of the Lord,

Giving Him my All.

Marking my life Different

For Him

Different is A Gift from Above

We are a unique people; aliens in this world.

Philippians 3:20

For our citizenship is in heaven,

from which also we eagerly wait for

a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

Lord as I move from the Christmas Season to the New Year, Let me Be Different.

Create in me a New Spirit. I want to be Different for You. This is my Christmas Present to You.

I know this song by Micah Tyler may not seem like the traditional Christmas song, but it has become my prayer for Christmas time this year.

How do you see different as a gift? What do you strive to do differently this holiday season and into the New Year? I can’t wait to read your comments.

Now, Lord, I Praise Jesus at Christmas time. Join me in this special time of praise. Thanks for your support and Merry Christmas.

I love that beautiful song–and it has such a beautiful heart cry within it. May we let His light shine in us to be set apart and different from the world, and the way that our flesh would naturally go. Thank you for these words today!

A good call to place on your heart, to make next year different, to let God show more clearly in your life. My life too. 🙂

I do feel different. I want to continue to grow in my ability to communicate with truth and grace. God is always refining us and has a role for each of us. He will lead us in the New Year. Have a blessed Christmas!
