#LMMLinkup: Only Jesus Matters This Holiday Season

December 11, 2017 By Mary Hill 23 Comments

Welcome back to the #LMMLinkup. I hope you are having a wonderful Holiday Season.

For  Me This Season is Dedicated to Jesus: The Only Begotten Son of God

As I ponder the true meaning of Christmas, my life comes back to one truth: Jesus.

As I look forward to 2018, I want to declare that everything I do is not about me, Only Jesus.

Jesus is the reason, I write and blog. To share His truths to the whole world.

My readership covered 61 countries this past 90 days. The truth is reaching into Asia and the Muslim world.

God loves and offered His only Son to come into this world. His son left Heaven for you and me. He left to come in a humble manner to earth nearly 2,000 years ago in a stable not fit for a king.

His coming marked by Angels and the Gospel spread to lowly shepherd and three high kings. His birth proclaimed by a miraculous star that shown over Bethlehem for the whole world to see.

The story did not stop with His Holy birth. Jesus came to fulfill a promise of salvation for all

He came to loose the captive, to heal the sick, and free us from chains of sin. He came to die for you and me.

I wrote the above for the Five Minute Friday linkup where this week’s prompt is the word: Only.

One Christmas List That Can Actually Relieve Your Stress

By Beth Steffaniak

Love Relieves Stress
In this post, Beth urges us to take our minds of the stuff of Christmas and think on the Reason for the Season. She writes that when we focus on the difference we can make in our giving to others then the season turns away from stress to love She concludes by listing practical ideas for giving to help others.

My Favorite Post of the Week

Joanne featured beautiful crafts including making a “graham-cracker” Christmas house because of a lack of love for ginger bread and egg cartoon ornaments. She also shared inspiring Christmas-themed books. I highly recommend you check out her festive post this week.

Mary – You have no idea how you have ministered to me today. It is too long of a story and I have to leave to catch a plane for an unexpected trip. The song was beautiful and just what I needed to hear today. Thank you!!!!

    Hi, Mary!
I forgot to link up last week!?? The adorable grandboy was here all day, and I think it affects my brain . . .
I love seeing the little flags in my stats telling me about all the countries where readers reside, but it has never occurred to me to keep track of how many different countries have been represented. What an interesting thing to pay attention to. I’m going to try to notice that!
    Blessings to you!
