I sit in my living room thinking and dwelling.
In my daughter’s bedroom, I hear laughter and fun.
My husband reclines on the couch, recovering from a headache which I wish I could vanquish.
Despite my husband momentary headache, however, I with the sounds of a dryer turning, my dog asleep beside me, and my cat undercover in my bedroom; I discover joy in the everyday.
My husband is beside me in relative good health, despite a fall cold. My granddaughter whoops and giggles at nothing. My daughter dances as she cleans her room.
Up the street, living literally only a few houses a way, my mom is probably enjoying the day.
I only have to expand my mind to discover blessings everywhere.
What a peaceful exercise, I discover.
Maybe when I have stress this is something I need to do.
When I am not feeling well and my pain is searing.
Like Paul, I can think myself happy and discover joy in my everyday.
Paul in jail and facing death while, I am blessed beyond compare.
How can I not discover joy and happiness in this life God has given me?
Discover means to find something unexpectedly in the course of a search.
I discover in the end that He is my all and all.
