I remember the night I saw the light in the sky, coming toward me.
That night I wanted a sign of love; a sign of light from my God. I lifted up my arms in prayer, spinning round and round. “Lord, I need a light, a sign that you love me.”
My thought turned to the beauty in the night sky. The stars amazed me. My Lord amazed me. I wanted to count the stars like Abraham I recall thinking.
My heart started to sing, “I love you Lord. Your creation amazes me.” I stood up and twirled in the starlight. Then, I stopped. Something appeared in the heavens. It looked like a star coming toward earth at a great speed. It stopped and burst, splitting into two parts. The parts streaked across the night sky in separate directions.
I knew this light served as sign to me. God, love me! A scrawny kid in South Florida.
Years later I still marvel at the miracle of my light in the sky. I learned later that the light was actually the U.S. Skylab whose orbit had decayed sending it crashing to the ground in Australia.
God used a piece of space junk to light up my life with love and hope
He can light up yours too.
He can also use us to light up our world.
We can shine like stars in the sky for Christ. Our testimony can bring others to Him.
How do you light your world for Christ?

Philippians 2: 14-15
Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent,
children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation,
among whom you shine as lights in the world

So good!!! I love how personal He is and how much He wants to love us and fill us with His Light… so that we can shine! Yes and Amen!
interesting that as we don’t complain or grumble, we are lights to the world! and that God used space junk. reminds me He will use anything = even junk, even me!
