Deb Wolf : Encouraging Blessing Counting

October 31, 2016 By Mary Hill 10 Comments

Bless Your Day with Less

Deb Wolf is such a blessing to me. I love exploring her blog. I especially love her resource page which includes graphical verses and thoughts to encourage us to count our blessings and walk closer with Jesus. The graphic above really touched me.

Deb also offers real ministry to her readers.  She has a page dedicated to prayer where you can leave prayer requests and also see the prayer requests of others. Her Blessing Counters Pray is a testimony of real faith. I hope you will visit it today.

I know you will enjoy her profile below.

Deb Wolf

Deb Wolf:  Biography Information

I am a wife, mom, gram, daughter, friend, teacher, and blogger; I am a fan of babies, puppies, coffee, and chocolate in that order; and I looove good conversations especially the ones where we all laugh a lot!

Deb Wolf: Gospel Story, How She Came to Know Christ as Her Savior.

I grew up in the church. If the doors were open my family was there. I went to Christians schools and learned well how to be a “good little church girl.” Something I continued well into my adult life . . . until a family crisis left me broken.

God to pick up the pieces of my heart  and put me back together as I grabbed my Bible and started clinging to every promise. He took me from fear to faith and showed me that I can not only trust Him for my eternal salvation through Jesus but also for my daily needs.

Her Favorite Verse and How It Became Important to Her

Deb Wolf Life Verse Psalm-7326-1

My heart and my flesh may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

Yes, it’s the life verse God gave me as He healed my heart. It gives me hope any time life gets hard.

Her Blogging Story

I started blogging for HomeGoods – Design Happy Blog, through an invitation from the TJX Company. It’s a great place to find tips and ideas for decorating on a budget.

Sharing decorating ideas was fun but my passion has always been sharing my faith through speaking and writing. So, I launched Counting My Blessings—where I talk about the ways faith and life intersect.

I love digging deep into God’s Word and sharing what I’m learning with my readers and helping them connect their faith with every day experiences. I want everyone to know how a close relationship with God through Jesus is life’s greatest blessing. How they can enjoy God’s peace, hope, and joy even when life is hard.

Her Blogging Mission

I shared my personal mission statement in a post last year…

In a nutshell my mission is –  Love the Lord God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and love my neighbor as I love myself. Mark 12:30–31

To put it my own words, my mission is to encourage people to know how much God loves them and how His love has the power to bless every part of their lives.

What Inspires Her to Write for Christ?

I grew up afraid . . . not for any particular reason, I was just always afraid of failure and rejection. So, I wore myself out trying to be perfectly lovable. It was both exhausting and impossible.

God showed me how much He loves me even though I am definitely imperfect and at times less than unlovable. That simple truth changed my relationship with Him and with the people around me. I want my readers to know and feel His love and the amazing ways God’s love can bless every relationship and situation.

A Personal Blogging Story

This comment was left for me a few weeks ago…

“Loved the 25 Promise- God is Worthy of all Worship. My journey of knowing God are baby steps, but today has opened up my eyes about God. In case I need to come back and re-read it I can find it on your web -site. Deb since I have found Counting My Blessings your posts have been inspirational to me and close to my heart.”

Comments like this one give me happy tears. It’s why I do what I do.

Her Blogging Tips

Be yourself. Be kind. Be persistent. Be patient.

Write what’s on your heart and pray that God will use it as He wills.

Last Minute Thoughts On Inspiration and Uplifting

I’ve worked on The Faith Project this year and it’s been amazing. I’ve spent a month on each of the following topics; freedom, love, joy, peace, prayer, goodness, worship, humility, stillness, patience, wisdom, and thankfulness.

It’s been faith strengthening to learn how each of these things touch my relationship with God and also with people. It’s been a writing journey and I’ve loved it!

AND my readers uplift and inspire me. Friends I’ve made through blogging encourage me in my faith every day!

I met Deb just over a year ago when I started blogging and since then she’s become so precious to me as a close blogging friend and mentor. She is such a sweet soul and a great inspiration to many. Her gentleness is evident to all. Can I just say that I want to be like Deb when I grow up? 🙂
By the way, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the Faith Project and how she digs deep into each of those topics every month. It’s been very inspiring to me.
