Matthew 21:22
And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.

I cried in my car recently, upset with the state of events storming in my life. My mother’s health and my husband’s pain plus my own health issues creating fatigue and pain.
“I am so worried about my mom. She seems so helpless at times, but she is my rock and the person that I depend upon. I need her,” I cried out to my Lord, reminding Him of the promise in the Bible not to try us with more than we can bear. “This just at the boundary,” I joked aloud.
I prayed for healing, asking God to strengthen her mind and body. I prayed for pain relief for my husband and myself.
I know if anyone had seen me I would have looked a mess to them, but I needed this cry. God’s spirit filled me with so much hope after my prayer.
It is a journey of prayer and asking that I seem to have embarked upon. I know God will answer in His timing. Patience is something for which I have never pray, but it seems something God is honing in my life in this season.
When faced with crisis, I sometimes find myself frozen unable to react and so stressed out. I hate when I can’t respond with real faith.
A few days later after my breakdown; God delivered. My mother remembers better and walks stronger. My husband, although still suffering some pain, wants to return to work tomorrow.
I have spent almost the whole week with my mom in the hospital. I really enjoyed the time with her even in moments of confusion and pain. One night, I played hymns on my phone to help her sleep through her pain. The time turned into a personal revival for me as I praised God.
Later, when we reviewed the times, we laughed about her wanting to sell everything in her garage which is where she thought she was at the time.
What I have learned on this journey to date is that when we ask of God with an honest spirit in our darkest times, He delivers peace and healing in His timing.
