My Personal Love Letter to Myself!
Dear Me :
We (I, me, and myself) have a lot to accomplish this year as we move forward in Christ. In the blogging world, I want to grow my readership. (Don’t all bloggers want this?) I know it is a given, but I have a vision for my blog. I want to hear about salvations. I hope those who read my blog this year will give their hearts to Christ.
I write everyday to spread the good news that Christ was born. He lived and walked on the earth. He suffered and was tempted so that He could identify with us. He was God who lowered Himself to walk our world so that we could have fellowship with Him and avoid a disastrous end in a burning Hell. He wants everyone to come to Him. He wants to heal the broken hearted and restore all through love and grace.
I will keep focused on this vision for my blog. I hope someone writes in the comments, “I found Jesus!” I will dance and sing with the angels who fill the heavens with their praise and thanksgiving that someone who was lost is now found.
In other areas in my walk with My Light, Jesus Christ, I want to spend more time with You, my Savior. I want to slow down and draw closer through reading your word and daily prayer. I want to fill every breath with you, my Lord. You are my reason for happiness. I focus on you and I will find peace, love, and true happiness. I want to own the most expensive, but most free product one can receive. You, Lord. I want you to own me too.
I want to run in opposite directions this year!. I know, Lord, that I fail miserably daily. I don’t always pray. I sometimes don’t even read your Word. I want to do the opposite this year. You, Lord, are more precious to me than gold.
I write this to myself in love and with an earnest heart. I know that if I just focus on You, My Lord, my happiness and future is secure. You’re all I need. You’re the reason I live. You’re the reason I am so blessed. You’re the reason I wake every morning.
Sincerely,
Me
This post is written as part of October June’s January’s challenge: Write a love letter to yourself. Write all the reasons you’re awesome, write down your hopes and dreams for the year ahead, any resolutions, heck, write what you had for lunch. Share why you’re grateful for 2014 and what you want to achieve in 2015. Share whatever you want – it’s your letter.
What would a love letter written to yourself focus on? October June has other challenges for the year that you can also take part in each month! Be sure to check it out at her launch page.
I am also joining my friend at her Two Shoes Tuesday challenge. Her prompt words this week were own and opposite.

I could have written this letter myself. I don’t pray or read the Bible as much as I should, but I want to turn that around this year. Thanks for the encouraging post!

This was such a beautiful heart-felt letter, Mary! I agree that you have chosen to own and be owned in the Very Best of ways! I love your concept of moving in the opposite direction this year. I need to move in the direction that is opposite from how my year is starting out! I still have high hopes for it though, and I’m praying daily for guidance on how to make things go more smoothly in my life as well as in my heart and mind. I think your words do reach hearts and souls, just like gentle rain can start a flower growing!

What a beautiful love letter to you and each of us. I can only say “Amen”. I pray that your journey with God will be a treasure to you and others.
Pouring your heart out in a testimony of faith. Writing the letter to yourself, yet to God in you. Lovely.
