Wordless Wednesday: Fall in the South Carolina Mountains

November 13, 2013 By Mary Hill 10 Comments

By Mary Hill

I had a great weekend in the mountains with my family. The leaves were still colorful and beautiful, but with the wind today, I think most will be gone soon. I am so glad we took advantage of the nice weather.

Oh! Now I miss my mountains. I left them behind in 2006, and it’s hard to be away. Guess I have to count my blessings, eh? We’ve got beaches here.

Looks like the perfect day! It’s 26 this morning here in Maine and we still have some leaves in the yard. Hoping it warms up a bit for raking!

Fall leaves are absolutely gorgeous. I agree, it’s always wise to take advantage of nice weather and go outside. Yes, on nice weather days I do actually leave my computer off.

The colors look a lot like that in this lower elevations of the Smoky’s and Blue Ridge Parkway. Well past their prime peak, but nonetheless still beautiful in my opinion. Thanks for visiting & linking up on WW at Curious as a CAThy!

Hi Mary! Nice to see you again!

These photos are so cute, and the colors are so sharp. That panorama of the mountain (?) side is just spectacular. We were having fall, but then just got snow…maybe fall is really on its way out.

Yes, the mountain side shot was of Table Rock in Pickens, SC. The panorama shot was from Sassafras Mountain the view was of both the South and North Carolinas’ mountains. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
