Just two days left until I launch another month-long writing challenge. I feel the push to the finish line and the thrill and excitement of being involved in something larger than myself.
This is a God challenge: a chance to connect deeper and more meaningfully with Him. It is also a challenge to be used of Him to help others find Him in new and deeper ways.
Am I ready? Am I prayed up. I feel like I have a lot more to do. A lot more praying to do. I want to reach others for Jesus. I fall on my knees (symbolically because of knee replacements) and pray out to Him. He is the creator of all things. The Alpha and the Omega. He can bring blessings and changes to your life unimagined.
Will you join me on this journey of 31 Days? I hope you will. I hope you will meet me here for a quick five minutes as I participate in both 31 Days online writing challenge started by home blogger, Myquillyn Smith (The Nester) and Kate Motaung’s 31-Day Five Minute Writing Challenge.
We start Wednesday morning exploring the King James Concordance; expounding on one word in poetry or poetic prose for five minutes. Much like the Friday Five minute challenge, I will try not to backtrack and let the Holy Spirit guide what I write. He is in charge.
What will I write? At this point, I have selected some words to which I feel that the Holy Spirit has guided. Each morning, however, I will start with prayer, worship, and Bible study. Join me. He may have a message for you that will change your life.
Are you participating in a writing challenge this month? What are your blogging goals for October? Share in the comments. God Bless and here we go. The push is on.

I can feel the excitement in your writing as you are pulled to expound. I think it is going to be wonderful for you as well as for your readers.
Thanks, I hope you will come often during the challenge.
This sounds like a lovely and uplifting event to be a part of, I” be checking back whenever I get a little time to see how it’s going. I love you for your desire to serve the Lord and share that joy with others!
I look forward to reading your posts, Mary. It seems like a very exciting thing, but I only just found out about it yesterday. While I love a challenge, and tend to be a last-minute “jumper inner” it’s just too overwhelming for me right now. Blessings as you accept the challenge!
Good luck on your writing challenge! I love the excitement and pressure of a project and deadlines (ok, maybe I’m a little crazy). I’m in the middle of a 12-week series where I decided to post every weekday as I progress through the material – and I’m loving it! Lots of work and hard to keep on schedule some weeks, but it’s really growing me as a writer.
I look forward to seeing you rise to the challenge.
What a wonderful challenge. Thank you for sharing your lovely post with us here at “Tell Me a Story.” http://letmetelluastory.blogspot.com/
Sounds great! I’m excited to see what the months brings for you. I’m planking on writing 31 days of finishing something (but I haven’t started yet – minor detail:)). The challenge always creeps up on me!
Like I was telling a fellow blogger, 31-day writing challenge is too big a commitment for me. I don’t think I can do justice to it. But I can definitely be a reader 🙂
All the best for the challenge. Appreciate your determination.

Tanya, I’m glad I’m not the only one not on board. I’m right there with you! (also, I’m new at the linkup thing, and while I do it daily, I’m so lost on how to do a whole series, even with people offering help…maybe it’s my age…I’m having a hard time understanding all the jargon and technical stuff.)
