Blow through me the day wind
Surround me with the night wind
Cause me to waver not with the morning wind
I want to find favor and love on a gentle wind

God Spirit’s flows through the land like a caressing wind
Wooing us to him with an urgent wind
We let go and fly into the stirring wind
Not to get lost but to be found by an uplifting wind
Our faith is not hindered but bolstered by the unseen wind

Wind represents power and change. Winds blow through our lives and scatter our memories. The wind can be used to plant new seeds and bring forth life.   Wind can also be a source of destruction and heartache as it was for Job when the wind took his children in Job: 1-19. In our times, winds have wrecked havoc in several major cities and devastated families and homes.

Even in our darkest times when the winds howl and all seems lost.

The wind may blow destruction but God is in charge. I found a special blog last week that speaks to the power of the wind, but also gives hope by telling a story of survival and faith. The link is above next to the picture.

There’s the wind of destruction, there’s the wind of injustice…sometimes it forces you in ways you cannot comprehend. Thanks for linking with the Creative Buzz Hop!!

To me the wind always signifies that change is coming. Change can be difficult, but it is usually a good thing in some way shape or form. And that song feather in the wind is so pretty.

God is indeed the most powerful force in the universe. This was very nicely done.

    Have a terrific day. ☺

Hi Mary ~~ We can also attest to the strength of the wind. We sat under and through in the eye of Hurricanes when we lived in Galveston County, Texas. I also witnessed a Nebraska tornado from the door of the storm cellar at our grade school. I also believe that God is in control, including the storms.

This was a wonderful perspective on wind, Mary. I love the wind, and I do indeed see God’s spirit moving through it, whether it be to refresh us or to test and strengthen us. The wind is raw, mighty power, but God is still and always in charge! A great addition to Two Shoes Tuesday, thank you! 🙂

Wind is sometimes calm and gentle. But it can also be strong and destructive. It changes lives by its soft, gentle touch as if wiping the tears off our cheeks or by waking us up in our worthless, destructive ways of living by slapping us in the face.

    Just Two Shoes Tuesday-ing! ;o)

The wind is a powerful force of nature. I often think God uses it to remind us that He is still the Almighty.
