Writing for me is something I do in my mind, my sleep, and on paper and my computer. It is part of who I am. I seems to always think about writing. I have stories swirling in my brain; ideas for using words creatively on my fingertips; and poems forming on my tongue. My problem is focus and getting all of this energy challenged into one project. What if I choose the wrong project to start and I never really finish it. I get caught up in the starting and middle part that I have no plan to write my way through.
So choosing a project to concentrate on for me is a great risk. Where and how do I start. Will I loose the other ideas in my mind? I try to keep a notebook of ideas so I can follow up on them later.
What are your challenges as a writer. Are you afraid to take a risk and start a project? What ideas can you share to help writers like me finish and writer their ways through to the end? Really looking to feedback.
Thanks for your insight Angela. 🙂 I am definitely going to try to start outlining too.
I find writing the first sentence is the most difficult. Try to write an outline or make a list of points to cover, then start forming sentences. And, write often! You can’t improve without practice. ~Angela
