Psalm 22:22 “I will declare thy name unto my brethen (or sisters):
in the midst of the assembly I will praise thee!
My daughter is a sharp shooter. A few weeks ago, we took a day trip to the mountains and happened upon a community festival at the foot of Table Rock in South Carolina. The festival organizers sponsored a Turkey Shoot.
My daughter never held a gun before, but she wanted to try. She took the rifle in her hands and after three tries earned a score that placed in her in the final round. The results: she placed sixth out 40 contestants. My little girl, now 13, stood tall that day. She treasured her testimony of natural talent.
The target sheet hangs in her bedroom as a memento to her accomplishment. You could say she did not earn this accomplishment. She’d never held a gun before and had not spent hours and hours of preparation. Her talent for shooting then is a gift that she appreciate and now wants to hon and use.
Salvation is the same way. We did not earn our Salvation. It is a gift. We bring to our Salvation natural gifts to hon for use to point others to the one who died for us.
Thank God for my testimony of love, survival, and blessings beyond imagination.
We all have struggles, but if we opened our eyes this morning and lived another day; we are victorious in Him. Each day is a gift from above. No matter our situation, we are alive. We are here, and every new day brings opportunities to shine for Him, the God who created us and who died on a cross during the holy season of the Passion.
Holidays are testimonies to God’s grace: We begin with His birth at Christmas.
He came to earth to sacrifice Himself. His life lived only to die: Easter, a season of resurrection and renewal. Our country is blessed to celebrate the freedom that He gave us: Independence Day.
Then we turn our minds to Thankfulness when the leaves turn colors, and we reflect on His blessings.

A huge thing to be grateful for indeed! Thanks for linking up at Thankful Thursday this week.
Thank you for this thoughtful reminder. We should definitely be thankful for the gifts the Lord bestows upon us. Well said, my sister in Christ.
