It is that time again when we gather to write down thoughts on one word for five minutes. Sponsored by LisaJo Baker at her site, the Five Minute Friday linkup is something I look forward to every week. I just write for five minutes and link up with other writers who also type furiously for five minutes on the weekly one word prompt. The only rule: comment on the posts before and after yours in the linkup to encourage each other.
So here we go this week’s word: Small

There are no small parts in the theatre of life. We mothers, sisters, daughters, friends play so many roles. We always have so much going on from taking care of children; calling friends on the phone to get and receive encouragement; and taking care of mom and missing sisters who have moved on to other places.
No small part. No small incidents. No small loves. We have giant hearts. We love, we live, we give. Small does not apply to the lives of Christian women at all who are charged with the great commission that must start at home. What loss, what tragedy if we did not share the truth with our small ones. If we didn’t point them to Christ.
A small word can make a huge difference: Love. Love of a Savior who stretched his arms across a tree to die for you and me.

Simple and small things really can make the world seem brighter, sweeter.
God glories is found in the small things that we take for granted: the smile of a baby, the time we spend together, or the sound of a bird chirping in the backyard.
In Mark, Jesus performed a miracle and took a few small fishes and fed thousands. He can take our small, bless it, and increase it to perform His will.
Don’t be afraid to start a new and thing by starting small for it is written:
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin,” Zechariah 4:10
