This week Janine at Confessions of a Mommyaholic has challenged us to think about what we want to do before we die. These bucket list items can be adventures or one-time accomplishments. ]Your poem gives me strength to keep my battle with breast cancer.
It just floored me for a minute. I took a second look and then I immediately clicked on Elena’s name. The first thing I discovered, she is in pain, but she keeps fighting. She puts up these beautiful pictures for children to print out and color. Despite everything, she is fighting through to help others.
So that is my bucket list: Find everything and anything I can do on a daily basis to reach out and help others. Point them to my Christ whose arms are outstretched in love and says, “Come unto me all those who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.”
- A new blog design that I won in a giveaway. Thanks again Iris.

- Special times with family:

- Discovering beauty in nature.
- I am not through yet, either. Leaving Monday for family vacation time for four days aways. But I will post during the week.
Even with vacation time, I have a goal to read at least two books. I love to read when we are driving to our destination.

- Less is Healthy — This is Elena’s website. Remember to dig deeper.
- http://www.tamingrapunzel.com/ — A Blog About Beautiful Hairstyles. Don’t stop at the surface though. Delve a little deeper. Read the About section and her article on True Beauty.
- http://magpietales.blogspot.com/ — Can’t wait until the next prompt Sunday. While you are there be sure to check out this week’s posts.

Mary – trying to get in touch with you on Google+ – hope that’s ok. Please check if you’ve received my message there π
Reaching out and helping others? A perfect bucket list. Those comments that come out of nowhere, telling you how you’ve touched someone, are so very special. I’m glad Elena found you and found some inspiration.
You are truly special, Mary.
I LOVE your new design, it’s beautiful. What a win! Aren’t those the best comments – out of the blue, without even intending, we encourage someone. I love those. They are the most humbling – it’s when you know God is working THROUGH you even when you don’t know it. Beautiful.
Lovely. While I do not believe that God knows everything about our paths, or that He has yet decided our full endings, I do believe he knows more than we do and I believe that He listens to us.
Hi! Visiting from BHB LinkedIn group. This post was beautiful. I hope that I’ll be able to do the many things on my bucket list before this life is over.

Realizing that we are on a road to our death and that time can be taken away from us at any moment is such a hard thing to contend with. When my time comes for God to take me home, I hope that my family knows how much I love them and that we made many wonderful memories together. I try to live my life not taking for granted that our time on earth is limited. Great post. π
Have a great vacation! Great post.
Visiting from Five Minute Friday today- and Yes! What a sweet reminder that God knows our endings, that he is with us every step of the way!
While I understand bucket list I’m more interested in what I do while I’m alive than trying to put things together before I die. Sounds kinda like a will. *Shrugs* Elana’s life is touching and glad she loved your poem so much. You are a unique creation Mary and God made us all so with his love. Congrats on winning the blog design. I’ve been winning a number of books and I’m super excited. Enjoy your weekend and that book you plan to read has an eye-catching cover (please forgive that).
Mary this is such another awesome Post-Of-Many-Things π
So glad you shared part of your story there, and that you were SO responsive to Elena. You rock π
Your bucket list is truly beautiful and awesome, but then you are a wonderful person Mary and wouldn’t expect anything less from you!!! Thank you for linking this up with us!! π
Many times you never know that you were an inspiration to someone else. What a wonderful thing.
Have a terrific day. π
