Selah: Pause and Be Still

January 28, 2016 By Mary Hill 14 Comments

Selah among Spring beauty

The first blooms of Spring signify the renewal of Jesus’s love for us all, Selah. Each season sings the praises of God and reminds us of His True Salvation,

Spider Teaching

A spider on a summery day teaches value of being still and patient.

Rivers flow with peace and beauty created by God Almighty, Selah

Rivers, created by God Almighty,  flow with peace and beauty in our summer memories, Selah.

Selah in Fall Mountains

Finding silence and pause on Autumn mountain trails.

Selah in ice of silence

Selah in ice of silence

Seasons to Ponder God’s Creation and Majesty, Selah

“All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name.” Selah. Psalm 66:4

We come upon seasons, punctuated with the beauty of our world created by a Holy God, Selah.

Stop and ponder His greatest creation.

From the mountains to the sea,

From warmth of summer to the coldness of winter.

From the lowly creatures to the beauty of first blooms of Spring.

The blazing changing colors of Autumn.

With each season, one constant remains.

The assurance of Salvation

Brought to God’s Creation

By His Son, Jesus

To all that call upon His name

with Faith and Belief.

We only need to take time with each season’s end

To reflect, pause, and meditate

On the Love of our God,

Whom Created us all

For purposes we do not begin to understand.

His creation is a testimony of His Love for Us All.

His creation is a testimony of His Love for Us All.

He leaves monuments to remind of His Greatness and love with each passing season.

Sing of His love

His Greatness and Salvation

Selah

Reminds me of 4 seasons pictures that hung on everyone’s walls when I was a kid — only much better!

Beautiful photos!!! Every season is so unique and such a testimony of God’s creativeness and desire for us to enjoy it! Even though I am not a big fan of going out in the cold and snow-covered roads in wintetime, I love the beauty of it!!

Thank you for sharing your stunning photos that speak “Selah.” Hats-off for taking the photos; each one speaks of God’s Goodness. Although Autumn is my favorite season, I had to admit that I was particularly drawn to your photos of Spring & Winter/ice. God bless you, and thank you for the compelling Selah words and photos!
