#LMMLinkup: Same Today, Tomorrow and Forever

October 7, 2019 By Mary Hill 12 Comments

Hebrews 13:8  (KJV)

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Finding something concrete, unchanging, or the same creates hurdles in many lives, but for me, I found an answer to this problem: Jesus.

Jesus never changes. Our Savior stays the same throughout eternity, and his promises never fail. His Word serves as a rock and foundation for your life.

Cling to His sameness. Use it as a life preserver. Let the truth of His

symmetry

buoy you in times of trouble.

He is faithful to deliver His promises. He never leaves or forsakes. His love is deep, authentic, and the same for all eternity.

Cling to His sameness. Use it as a life preserver. Let the truth of His symmetry buoy you in times of trouble.

Making the Bible Come Alive

By Barbara at Stray Thoughts

I love this post because it is full of hope and inspiration about how the Bible is alive and applicable to our daily lives.

She quotes:

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12, ESV).

Don’t miss this exciting post this week.

This step-by-step plan includes daily activities based on Psalm 119 to help you nurture and create a deep desire to read and immerse yourself into the Words of God. Thank you for these beautiful thoughts, and the reminder of that precious Scripture. That was the verse given to me for our oldest Granddaughter. Just last week, I was praying it over her again. God truly is so unchanging, and everlasting in our lives.

Thank you so much for featuring my post on longing for God’s word!

I love the symmetry analysis of a never-changing God! He is always the same, always faithful, always true to His word, always pursuing His children!

Praise God that He never changes. We don’t have to wonder what He wants, who He is or how much He loves and blesses those who are His! Thanks for sharing your free writes and for hosting, Mary. Blessings to you!

I’m intrigued by the notion of God’s “symmetry.” That word conjures up all kinds of other words as well such as integrity and congruence. So much to think about fro your five minute pouring out of worship!

Life is so filled with changes. Some are welcome–like fall. Some are confusing and hard to adjust to. It’s such a comfort knowing Jesus is always the same, no matter the changes in the rest of life.

Thanks so much for the shout-out. I’m blessed to know that post was of use to folks.
