4. These were a “baby” bunnies this summer. They have grown so much. We only have two left. We sold the others to families throughout our area.
5. Our Lily sure can get into some messes.

6. But we have a helpful, soon to be son-in-law who pitches in to clean her up.
7. We added these beautiful new parakeets to our bird house which shimmers in the winter sun because we wrapped it with heavy duty, plastic wrap to keep the wind off of them and protect them from the cold.

9. A simple but beautiful arrangment in my window that I put there to remind me that spring will soon be here and the cold, blustery days will pass.

10. I may have some snow pictures for next week. We have a slight chance for snow mid week. In the South, that makes us do happy dances because it is so rare around here.
Everyone rushes to the grocery store and buys up all our bread and milk. I don’t know why, but the least little mention of snow sends us into a frenzy. We seem to think if we don’t have bread and milk that we will not make it through the morning of snow even though most times what little bit we get melts by the afternoon.
Here is dreaming of a white January morning. I love a dusting where everything turns pretty; school is dismissed; and we frolic and play and try to create our three inch snowmen before the snow melts away.

I love poetic photo essays! I only squeaked a few photos into my Celebrate Small Things post – its my first time here, wasn’t sure of protocal, but next week, watch out. The color in the shot with just the branches – amazing. I’m in Bakersfield, California – it is supposed to be 80 degrees tomorrow. So much for Polar Vortex here. I really love the small arrangement you made. All is lovely and I am celebrating your stuff too! (Lovely after effect!)
Your pictures are lovely, and your pets adorable!
Sarah, thanks for the visit. Will meander over to see your blog too. 😉
Oh I love the photos – I think “Strike a pose” is my favorite. Congratulations on your new camera!!
I like how you used the photos in this list.
Your camera seems awesome. I love the pictures you took with it! Those parakeets remind me of the ones we had when we were growing up. Too funny that your 13 year old dog runs faster than the 3 year old one. I’m guessing the 3 year old one will catch up as he gets older? I like dogs, but I’m just learning about them right now. 🙂
My kids always wore their pajamas backwards (or was it inside-out?) when they were hoping for snow. It’s worth a try, right?
Love your photos! The dogs look like a hoot. Love the idea of the bird house. We have two parakeets and I often wonder about putting them into something bigger.
Weather is a funny thing in places that aren’t used to it. I hope you get your dusting this week.
Lovely pictures. I am envious of that gorgeous blue sky!
I love your photos! Your birds are wonderful!
Have a great weekend!

Zyma poses for pictures just like Mariah Carey!
My favorite pic is the close-up of the bird in the bush. Oh, if I’d read Lizzi’s comment, above, I could have just said, “Me, too!”
I absolutely LOVE the bird in the branches against that gorgeous blue sky. That’s my favourite colour 😀
A beautiful set of images, Mary.
Great photos, Mary! My daughter loves animals – I’ll have to show her these tomorrow. Zyma is a lovely dog! And I loved that bird photo when you posted it earlier in the week – just lovely. A nice view looking up rather than at all the snow snow snow around!
Have a wonderful week!
Hi, thanks. I had a busy Sunday and Monday. I hope your daughter enjoyed the pictures.
