This week Janine at Confessions of a Mommyaholic has challenged us to write our post using this prompt: I have a bad habit of ….Romans 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
We also must remember that accepting the state of loneliness helps us to avoid the essence of the Christian walk. God has called us to spread His good word unto all the earth. To do this we have to take chances and move beyond our loneliness to share His Gospel of hope with all we meet.
Birthdays are milestones in our lives. They mark another year in which new beginnings can emerge. My favorite birthday has to be the first birthday that I spent with my husband. It was January 19, 2002. We were still dating then.
It was a rainy Saturday, and we met in between our two homes in the upstate which were close to 55 miles away from each other. It wasn’t a special day per say, in fact it rained buckets; so all we could do was catch a movie. I spent my afternoon a sleep while trying to watch the first part of the Lord of the Rings triology. I just loved spending my 35th birthday with him.
Good news, I am just a few chapters from finishing so I will be able to write my first book review for this blog by Monday so stay tuned!- Need some help to get organized? My whole post is about your #1. I do the same thing! I’m a starter and struggle with the finish. Thanks for linking up with us!
Loneliness can be so depressing. I loved your views and happy friday!
I agree that finding God is part of the answer to overcoming loneliness. I actually feel I am able to connect with others more when I feel God’s presence in my life.
Loneliness can suck you in if you’re not careful. God is always with us and he can guide us in everything. When I get too many things started I also end up in trouble. My solution is figuring out what is at the forefront of my mind then proportioning it with what I need to get done most versus what I can actually do. This whittles it down by a lot.
I am guilty of the same bad habit. I start one thing then get distracted by another. Then another. Very frustrating. My husband says I get off task to take care of any immediate need that pops up. He’s got a point with that.
Loneliness is, indeed a state of being and it’s one that I do not like. I, too, have so many projects that are only partially begun!
I read that Molly Greene blog post, and I thought she did a great job. Molly Greene’s blog is full of good advice for writers.

Sandee has left a new comment on your post “Overcoming loneliness and a Week of Finding Hope, …”:
I never feel lonely. I wonder why that is. I’m not sure, but I’m glad I don’t ever feel lonely.
Have a terrific day. ☺
Thanks so much for featuring my post today. Loneliness is one of the worst feelings ever. I’m not very good at feeling it!
Oh I am so with you and I aways busy doing something and do take on a lot. I try my best to finish what I start, but yes sometimes it truly isn’t easy. Thank Mary as always for linking up with us and have a great weekend, too!!
Hi Lisa,
I also have that bad habit of not giving my full attention to the things that I should.
I really like this message that you share about loneliness. I experience this loneliness and I can only hope that one day I will have faith enough to acknowledge the God in me.
I love that you say, “loneliness is a state of being and needs to be overcome by realizing God is with us.” Amen and thanks for your words. visiting from fmf.
