I have been absent from the book review blog hops for a while now. This week I hope to fix that situation.
I have a lot to share; so with further ado, I joining these hops are The Sunday Post, hosted by The Caffeinated Book Reviewer; and Library Loot co-hosted by The Captive Reader and Silly Little Mischief.
Books that I recently finished include:
The story centers around Brooke Justice who is trying to divorce her abusive husband. She suspects that he is stalking her so she hires a private investigator, Mike Hartman. Hartman has also lost in love, but his loss was the tragic murder of his wife. When Brooke life is endangered, Mike must move quickly to save her from a dangerous men. Will he loose another woman he loves and find more heartache?
I loved this book. It is part of a great dystopia series set in a world destroyed by devasting race wars. The survivors live in eight cities in Russia where marshall law exists and the movements of the citizens are severely restricted by the Superiors. Speaking your mind can get you killed, and 16-year-old Rosa nearly dies several times because she just can’t conform to the rules of the strict society.
Rosa falls in love and gets sucked into a secret program where the Superiors are breeding young girls to produce genetic pure babies for the wealthy families. She escapes with Joseph a blonde, fair-skinned, green-eyed upper class boy. Joseph is also the genetic donor for the Rosa’s baby. He learns of the program and rescues Rosa. They flee into the wilderness together with another couple and a doctor from the program. Their flight into cold and dangerous woods leads them to many adventures. Will they survive or be recaptured by the ruthless Superiors.
I can’t wait to read part two of the series.
The Wall (Book 2 The Woodlands Series)
It has been foretold that these three ThunderClan cats—Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovepaw—will hold the power of the stars in their paws. Together, they must unravel the truth behind the ancient words of the prophecy. But the dark shadows that have preyed on the Clans for many moons are gaining strength, determined to tear the four Clans apart. As a catastrophic battle with the Dark Forest draws nearer, Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovepaw learn of another, more ominous prophecy, which reveals that a mysterious fourth cat must join them in order to save the Clans from utter destruction.
I think I’ll add Mint Juleps and Justice in my reading list. 🙂
My daughter is really getting into the Warriors series, she’s on book three so the Erin Hunter books caught my eye. That seems like a neat world to explore.

Love your banner! I have a weakness for orange cats as I had one growing up who was a pretty great cat. I think I have Mint Juleps and Justice and am curious to read it. The premise sounds a bit more intense than the cover hints at. Have a great week!
