I hear the March winds as my chimes sing on the back porch. I sit in my house listening to the birds chirp watching Fixer Upper on HGTV.
My daughter inhales as she works on her school lessons for the day.
I wish I could say the bird chirping and quietness relaxes me. My mind races through on all my to-d0-lists.
Housework, grocery shopping, mailing a prize book, balancing the checkbook; helping my daughter with her school lessons. AS she begins her science lesson, she sneezes and sniffs.
My basket of clothes in my bedroom overrun. Even more laundry awaits in the dryer.
Life’s March winds blow through my mind as a robin flitters on my lawn and little finches jump around on my bird feeder on the back porch. My dogs slumber in the afternoon sun.
I ponder my verse for the month. What shall I focus on as I move forward in my spiritual life. Another to-do flitters through my thoughts
.
I have to give God His due too. This month I am reading Susan Chamberlain Shipe’s book: 40 Days of Lent: The People, the Place, and Events of the Passion. (Affliliate Link).
I am on a walk with Him, transporting my mind to the time He travelled with disciples during Lent in John 10 and 11. Jesus walks the desert road to raise a friend from the dead.
What is dead in me that needs resurrection this year? I have I lost my passion and love for Christ?
All of this wondering and to-do-lists seem to take my time and energies while Chip and Joanne resurrect a beautiful home for another couple.
March winds blow as my daughter speeds up time talking about her birthday over nine months away.
“Nine months. I’ll be 15 and I can drive. Aren’t you excited.”
Future goals unfurl as my daughter grows before my eyes.
The years blown about by winds of time.
March winds meander and the phone rings. My husband on his break. He wants to know his doctor appointment time. A quick call and I call him back and tell him 4 p.m.

Your day sounded like mine too and I will be praying for you. I homeschool my three currently and some days I am like how am I doing this? Then I am reminded by God’s grace right? Wooooo!! Sniffles and laundry want to team up against us but we can trust His work in our hearts is being done! Love you friend!

I love hearing the wind chimes chime! I could so hear yours as I read your post. Oh, and don’t you just love Susan’s books? I haven’t read this one on lent yet, but I have enjoyed her other ones. Thanks for linking up to #TuneInThursday Today and supporting my new adventure.

Sounds like a perfect afternoon to me, but who am I kidding. No matter what time it is, I also have my head full of to-dos.
This got me thinking about my life and what I allowed to die in me that needs resurrection.
Mary, these lines speaks poetically to me: Life’s March winds blow through my mind as a robin flitters on my lawn and little finches jump around on my bird feeder on the back porch. My dogs slumber in the afternoon sun. Perhaps, you will create a poem titled March Winds of Time or just use these lines on an image to offer for my Winter Wonder Gallery. I would like to add one of yours.=>Invitation: http://beyondliteracylink.blogspot.com/2017/01/invitation-to-winter-wonder-17.html)
Awesome …I love that question you ask: is there something in me that needs resurrection.
Good thought to ponder.
A perfect slice of the many things going on – all together – in your life! And I am inspired by your insight into your thinking, especially, “What is dead in me that needs resurrection this year?” For me, it isn’t my faith, but there is some joy missing that I need to dig up. Thank you for this thoughtful post.
