#LMMLinkup: Thankful for a Wonderful Friend & Cohost

May 21, 2018 By Mary Hill 17 Comments

I have shared briefly the last few weeks about my family’s continuing health concerns. This week, I want to turn my focus on someone who has been invaluable to our community during this season: our community co-host, Gayl.

I met Gayl in person two years ago this week.  She co-hosted for about a year and then came back this year.  God provides sometimes through people. Without Gayl, this linkup would not be possible. She has kept things rolling for weeks now while I continue to deal with my family’s health issues.

This weekend, I went to the mailbox to find another blessing. Gayl sent me a wonderful care package.

In Gayl, I have more than a co-host. I consider her a lifelong friend.

Now on to our weekly linkup. First let’s meet your hosts:

Linkup Rules:

  1. Include a link back or the blog hop button linked to this hop on your posts.
  2. Link up the urls to your posts not to your blog.
  3. Please remember this is a family-friendly linkup. Although we believe in the right for adults to read whatever they want to read, we prefer to read wholesome posts that feature literature that edify and uplift families. We reserve the right to delete any posts that are not family friendly. We love all kinds of literature and genres including family-friendly inspirational romances, fantasy, or science fiction. We do not welcome any posts that feature excessive violence, sexual content, or any cursing. This rule also applies to book review posts that feature books that are not family-friendly. These posts will be deleted without notice to the blogger or explanation. While we believe in the right for all adults to read whatever they want, we feel our linkup is for family-friendly posts only. Thank you for understanding.
  4. We also want to be loving community by supporting one another. Please make a point to do this this week! Visit the two posts before yours and at least one other blogger’s post of your choice! I want to see lots of clicks on everyone’s posts. Remember it is also nice to follow them on their social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook.
  5. Also note  periodically I will send everybody updates on the linkup using your contact information you provided when you linked up. At the bottom of the notifications you will be able to unsubscribe if you do not wish to receive these notifications.
  6. Tweet about the link up too.

Oh, what a blessing Gayl is! I’m sure you are a blessing to her, as well. I have thought about returning but I wasn’t always able to keep up.

    Praying for you, Mary!

Mary, friends can be such a blessing when we go through challenging times. How gracious of God to provide that kind of friend in Gayl! I was so blessed to see Tehila’s post featured. I never fail to appreciate her wise godly words. Praying God continues to work in all your trials and do exceeding abundantly above all that you could ask or think!

That’s a great story of friendship! I’m having trouble linking up. When I submit my link it says I’ve reached the maximum number of links I’m allowed to add to this collection but I’m only adding one!

I had the fun of meeting with Gayl last summer here in Maine as she and her family were vacationing up here! I’ve loved her heart as I’ve gotten to know her through her writing, but it was very special to connect in person.
So glad you two are a wonderful team together!
