I know I have been absent, but I am in a season of health issues. This afternoon at 2:15, I am having a medical test to see if my heart is pumping correctly.
What has this season taught me? God is in control, and I know my future home is with Him.
Another major lesson I learned focuses on not neglecting your heart. Diet and exercise is essential to a healthy heart. I have tried to work toward better health habits, but other issues including arthritis hamper the exercise part of the equation. Plus, arthritis also contributed to my weight issue because of my use of steroids over the last decade for pain.
Regardless of the causes, heart disease continues to be a major health issue for women. I encourage everyone to focus on heart health this month. If you suspect you are having issues, do not wait to have a checkup.
I feel I am dodging a bullet because if they determine something is wrong with my heart, the doctors can prevent further damage because they found the issue early enough to intervene.
I will post hopefully next week. I plan to take some time off for the Christmas season and if my health issues improve begin regularly posting again in January. I want to thank everyone for your continued prayers.
Now, on to our weekly linkup. First, please follow me on your social media. I love to hear from you: Blog/Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest/ Instagram/Google+.

Happy Thanksgiving Mary – I pray for your health and healing! xoxo
I appreciate you being an advocate for heart care. It’s too easy to avoid seeing doctors. 🙁 I personally don’t like to go, but when I finally decide I need one, I’m SO grateful they can see me. Praying for you, Mary.
Thanks for sharing about the Enneagram books. I’m reading another new one now, but I doubt it will make my favorites list. 🙂
Mary, I am grateful for this update as I have been wondering how you are doing.
But I’m sorry to hear that all is not quite well.
Thank you for persevering in trust, even in this challenging season.

Dear Mary,
Oh, God’s connections are so incredible, my dear RAsister. I too just had heart tests last week, and I’m going to see the Cardiologist this afternoon to discuss the results. I will surely be praying for you as I’m in my appointment! Thank you so much for your sweet mention of my post. I am so grateful that the Lord has let our paths cross. May He bring the proper diagnosis and treatment for your healing.
