The Christmas 2019 season officially began this past weekend. The hustle and bustle of Christmas parties, decorating, and present buying has sent my family into a whirlwind of preparation for the big day.
As we approach the season, I am mindful that each morning, I need to reflect on the true meaning. This week, I am reading Luke 1, which recounts the story of the miracle of the birth of John the Baptist and the angel’s visitation on Mary and holy conception of Christ.
I praise God for this season of love and angels. His angels are His messengers sent to Earth on missions to further the Kingdom of God. I also take note as I ponder these scriptures of Hebrews 13: 1-2.
Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers:
for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Finally, I want to thank everyone for their prayers. My heart tests came back okay with mild-age related heart issues that the doctor wants to recheck in about six months.
My arthritis, however, may have caused damage to my ankles, hips, and back. My doctor is sending me to the surgeon for my left ankle because of a collapsed arch and tendon damage related to my arthritis. I suffered severe pain in this area for the past several weeks. I appreciate your continued prayers.
Next, lets review last week’s linkup.

Biblical Thankfulness
By Barbara at Stray Thoughts
Barbara presents an impressive list of scriptures related to Thankfulness, along with beautiful and famous quotes on the subject. I especially loved this scripture.
“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods.” (Psalm 95:1-3)

Dear Mary,
I am so thankful that your heart tests were generally positive.I will keep you in my prayers for a good meeting with your surgeon! I also have issues with my arches and ankles & wrists too, so I will surely remember to pray for you dear sister! May the truth of this season of Christ’s coming to us be such a beautiful truth that we cling too.
It is so true that we need to stay close to the truth during this busy season when activity and a multitude of distractions can easily set us adrift from the reason for the celebration! Glad to hear that you are finding some answers to the health concerns that have plagued you!
