I’m Not Pinterest Perfect!

July 8, 2015 By Mary Hill 13 Comments

Not Pin-Perfect

Can you relate? This scene on my couch is not Pinterest Perfect! Will you join me in getting real and escaping the comparison trap that can lead us moms to feel bad about ourselves?

Hmm, so I missed that this is a ‘wordless’ post before I posted my link. I got so excited about not being “Pinterest perfect” that I linked a post that falls into that category so well! So… you can just look at the photo and read the words only if you want.

Hahah love it! I think perfect – much like normal – is relative. Perfection is in the eye of the beholder. 🙂 Embrace the clutter!!

Erica, that is so true. I cleaned it up a little tonight, but it is my thinking area and where I write. I need a desk, but I wouldn’t be able to use the chair. I have to sit on my couch to write. The back provides support.

This is exactly how my house is! Clean sometimes and messy a lot of times!

Love it! I love seeing the “messy” parts behind peoples blogs! It’s like a window into their lives. 😉

So dont fret, enjoy your books and the un-perfect Pinterest moment, lets get real!!

Oh goodness girl! The Pinterest competition is real! Who can have the prettiest most shared picture? Who can make that look exactly like the picture? It can be maddening lol.

Girl, you should see my house! I have a 3-yr old & a 7-month old, and then a 31 year old caveman. I do have a ‘room’ in my house – the ‘guest room’ – which is my woman cave; it might be Pinterest perfect. I refer to it as my escape. But the rest of my life is CHAOS!

Not much at our house is Pinterest Perfect either! I definitely have to do some staging for some of my recipe pics for pinterest!! I used to worry and compare…but am way past that! I guess you do get wiser with age!!

Jamie, I stage too for some of my photos. I don’t add many of them to Pinterest though.
