Hallowed: the “H” In Thanksgiving

November 18, 2015 By Mary Hill 9 Comments

God who is holy, shall be Hallowed in Righteousness

Hallowed : a very scarce word in the holy Scriptures and Bible.  Hallowed reaches deep into the soul and sings in the heart, praise and thanksgiving that lifts to angels’ ears.

Hallowed be His Name

[tweetthis twitter_handles=”@MaryHill16″]He is so worthy, worthy. He is worthy to be hallowed all year long, not just at Thanksgiving.[/tweetthis]

When you say hallowed is the name of Jesus you make holy, sanctify, and consecrate His name before all. When you celebrate true thanksgiving, you worship all that He is and does.

Thanksgiving is not a check list of blessings :  “I’m thankful for …..”

Thanksgiving when hallowed becomes a spirit that craves worship and consecration of all He means to life, love, and eternity.

As we approach another Thanksgiving season, move deeper. Let the Spirit rise up in you love, worship, and song that will carry you all year long.

This post is part two of my  Fall Back Upon Thankfulness Bible study and journey that I invite you to join with me.

I know our lives are busy this season; so, I pledge to keep each day short and to the point. Even though the posts will be short, I plan to pack them with inspiration and Scriptural truths as we lead up to the Thanksgiving holidays and then flow into Christmas. This series is my gift to you. You can see more of my series by visiting the series landing page.

Contributing to numerous hops on my Link-up Parties page for  Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Be sure to check out the great linkups!

Thanks for sharing what “hallowed” means as well as how we can embrace it for Thanksgiving. The words filled my soul… “Thanksgiving when hallowed becomes a spirit that craves worship and consecration of all He means to life, love, and eternity.” There is true beauty in those words. Blessings for a beautiful weekend!

Beautiful photo! And this “Thanksgiving when hallowed becomes a spirit that craves worship and consecration of all He means to life, love, and eternity.” Yes, thanksgiving is not just a list, it is a way of life. I want to remember to be more grateful and to hallow His name. Blessings to you, Mary!
