My daughter and I are on a reading spree this summer thanks to Erin Hunter’s Warriors books. She and I are hooked on these great adventure stories.

We read the prior series and are on the third set now. The books follow the adventures of wild cats who have formed clans in our midst. These are not kitty pets. They are cats who live in the forest and woodlands in clans and tribes. They take care of each other and have clan territories that the protect with their lives.
The first series featured Firestar, now leader of Thunderclan. He left the life of a kitty pet to join the clan and rose through the ranks to be its leader. Now his grandkits are the stars of the new series: Hollypaw, Jaypaw, and Lionpaw. These three are destined to save their clan. If they don’t work together to face the challenges, only tragedy will prevail.
We are now on book four of this series of six books. I have read through them quickly because they are so thrilling and filled with special themes of love, loyalty, and bravery. I highly recommend them for tweens, ages 10 to 14.
If you want to learn more about Erin Hunter be sure to visit the author page. I found out a lot of surprises there too. Plus while there be sure to check out the extra fun activities that you and your tweens can get involved in, including an online Warriors’ game where you can create your on Warrior cat and train for battle!
My daughter and I are having such a great time with this book series. It is the perfect way to spend a hot summer day, reading around the pool and discussing the exploits of our favorite Warrior cats! I hope you will check these books out for yourself.

This is the first time I’m hearing about this series.
Interesting concept for a series.
Thanks for visiting me on the blitz.
Hmmm…warrior cats. I don’t think I’ve ever read a similar premise. Sounds interesting! Thanks for sharing this at Booknificent Thursday! Always love having you there!
