Questions run in mind.
Doubt pricks and hides in the background.
We doubt our faith. We doubt our resolve.
My day is spinning with the laundry machine.
The news blares in the background as debate rages over leaders. Doubting our leaders hurts.
It leaves a scar in mind about the honesty of people who are supposed to be above reproach.
My daughter works on her lessons for the day as the event swirls.
What examples are being set for her?
We are human and make mistakes.
Maybe we should give a benefit of the doubt.
However, we should call for honesty.
Admit mistakes made?
Unless something more sinister lurks under currents?
No matter the situation, we should pray.
An old saying, March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb.
I pray that truth and character become themes for our new month.
We need to instill it all areas of our lives.
Without turning this post into political debate. What do you think? How do we ensure that truth is the meter stick for our lives?

Thanks for linking up Mary! Truth. God’s Word…and then when I see someone fall short I respond differently than times past. I seem to have grown mercy and prayer out loud (speaking out loud) what God see’s them as rather than the mistake that was made. So if a leader says something bad or does something not so good, no matter which side…I have been nudged in my spirit to speak life over them regardless. I keep coming back to the verses about speaking life instead of death. And I also think about Jesus loving and dying for me when I had not even met Him yet. Mercy just keeps winning every time. I know there’s a thing called justice, but even that is in His hands. Prayer is powerful.
Awe Mary! Thank you for the Shout out to #TuneInThursday you completely blessed me today. I so appreciate your support and help in getting the word out. I absolutely love the lion picture you used. and wow such a powerful quote too…. It makes me think how we often want to defend and make others see the truth, but the truth speaks for itself. again thank you 🙂

Hi Mary, I like what you said here, “I pray that truth and character become themes for our new month.” I couldn’t agree more. And God’s word is the only way we can make that happen. I have become so much closer to the Lord these past few months with my committed daily Bible reading and devotions. Also my prayer life…it can still use some work but it’s getting there. Great post.

I need to find time to immerse myself in the Word more too. It seems life just flies by.

I love the line “However, we should call for honesty.”. I think we should hold our leaders to be truthful and honest.
Your title immediately caught my attention. I really enjoyed the section where you wrote,
” An old saying, March comes in like a lion and leaves like a lamb.
I pray that truth and character become themes for our new month.”
The only way I can ensure truth in my life is to pray each day for clarity and direction.
Carolina, thanks so true. We need to pray and like Susan said. We need the Word.

THE WORD. THE WORD. THE WORD. My plumbline.
The Word is the Way to the Truth. What an important reminder.
