By Mary Hill

This is a weekly hop that was created among friends. Every week a new set of five questions is posted on Thursdays for participants to answer throughout the coming week. It is my week to come up with questions. Here are the questions with my answers. I hope everyone has fun and enjoys these. 😉 You are welcome to join up by using the linky below.
1. What is your favorite color and is there any specific reason why or story you can relate to it?
My cat, Perry, has awaken me every morning between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. He wants to play, eat, or wants me to clean his litter box. He will not leave me alone until I do at least one of these things, and sometimes, I have to do all three to satisfy the bugger. This morning he threw a fit because his bowl was empty. At 5:30 a.m., he attacked his bowls and mat and scattered them across the floor. To get my atttention, he then bit my toes until I fed him.
3. What are you goals as a blogger? My goals are simple:
- Inspire others on their journey to discover the truths of Christ and the blessings He offers.
- Improve my writing skills.
- Develop a unique voice in writing that inspires others to pursue their dreams.
- Grow my readership steadily for both blogs.
- Monetize my blogs by developing a brand I can be proud of because it represents me fully.
- Become wealthy (one can dream right?) or at least comfortable enough to enrich the lives of those I love and better serve Christ.
4. What word or phrase describes you the most? Why? This is a hard one so you can get creative. Maybe you can do an acrostic poem using the letters from the one word or phrase? Or use your first name to write an autobiographical poem?
My name is Mary. Clues to who I am can be found in my name. I strive and live to:
Magnify His name in my life and Motivate others.
Adapt, because when I fail, I step back and look for other ways to achieve success.
Receive advice and love from family and friends.
Yearn for Christ in all things.
I found this great slide share site of A to Z inspirational words that helped me with question:
http://www.slideshare.net/creativeinspiration/a-to-z-of-positive-wordsI also found this Name Poem Generator: http://www.namepoem.org/
I could have used this poem from the generator:
Mighty but mushy
Antagonized damp hickies
Roughly whinnyed
Yodeling but xanthicI liked this one:
M is for Magnificent, a creature of wonder
A is for Authenticity, with which you lead your life
R is for Relaxing, you put people at ease
Y is for Youth, eternally young at heart
5. Anything you want to add or comment on? Open question so you can be creative.
My favorite scripture is: John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

My inspirational song for today. Hope you enjoy!

Hi Mary! So much to love here in this post, I don’t know where to start. I loved all of your goals, they are so clear! And why not dream big?? God will give you your hearts desires, right?
You are very patient with your cat. I don’t know how long I’d put up with nibbles toes first thing in the morning!
What inspires me? A new day inspires. Filled with promise, and I can make it a blessing, or a curse. Not too consistent, I’d have to say, but I’m trying to make every day a blessing.
Great info today 🙂
Ceil
I guess to your color we could add that it’s the most passionate color of them all. You better make sure you feed you cad so he does not eat one of your toes LOL. I Love how Chist is the first of your blog goals and I also really like your autobiographical poem or I should say poems…
Thank you for being a part of The Five Among Friends.
The name poem generator got my interest so I tried it–here’s the motivational poem it generated for me:
K is for Kind, generous to people
A is for Alluring, drawing people in
R is for Ravishing, an entrancing beauty
E is for Eloquent, the gift of expression
N is for Noteworthy, having remarkable achievements
Nice poem. Thanks for stopping by.
So what are you going to do once you’re super independently wealthy?
Keep blogging but buy me a nice house with lots of room including one for my home office. I want a big kitchen too and lots of horses (well, at least one for my daughter.) I ramble on. Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy your visits so much!
Perry would be locked out of my bedroom. Yes he would and he could throw his hissy fit somewhere else. I’m just saying.
Have a terrific day. ☺
I know he is one spoiled cat. :p
