His Mercies are New Every Morning

I have reason to be thankful because as a Christian, I am clean, beautiful, and new because of Christ’s great sacrifice and mercies on the cross.
Psalm 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Lamentations 3: 22-23 It is of the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
I stared at my screen, feeling a failure and lost. Who do I think I am? Writing about forgiveness, love, and Christ? Married three times and a failure in everything I have attempted, I am not worthy. I have nothing to offer anyone. I pitied myself, my past. Last year, I stopped writing for months during a season of doubt and loss. I let Satan convince me that I am not worthy and that no one would read my writing because they’d see me as the fake and faulty person I am.
One day last fall, however, my mind raced and my heart overflowed. I determined in my heart to kick the lies to the curve. As a Christian, I am clean, beautiful, and new because of Christ’s great sacrifice on the cross. When I accepted Christ, every sin, mistakes, and failure is forgotten as far as the East is from the West. Even future failures are of no consequences because Christ only see me as a new creature forgiven.
I know I am not alone in experiencing these season of doubt and despair. You may be in one now. From the outside, all looks well, but in your heart and soul, darkness envelops as you listen to Satan’s lies.
This Thanksgiving, however, you can be free. Launch a new season of love and affirmation. Thankful that Christ performs the same miracles for all. If you have not accepted His sacrifice, you can do so with a simple prayer inviting Him to forgive you and become Lord of your life, and then He will renew you.
If you have walked with Him in the past, but have lost your way. He awaits on a new path, His hand extended in love. He see you dear, daughter. He sees your struggles and doubts. Be Thankful, however, HE LOVES YOU! He wants to recreate in you a new life and purpose.

This post is representing the letter “N” in Thanksgiving, as part of my Fall Back Upon Thankfulness Bible study and journey that I invite you to join with me.
I know our lives are busy this season; so, I pledge to keep each day short and to the point. Even though the posts will be short, I plan to pack them with inspiration and Scriptural truths as we lead up to the Thanksgiving holidays and then flow into Christmas. This series is my gift to you. You can see more of my series by visiting the series landing page.
Contributing to numerous hops on my Link-up Parties page for Thursday, Friday, and the weekend. Be sure to check out the great linkups!
Beautiful and inspiring post! I think we all go through times where Satan’s lies seem so believable. How blessed we are to have a Savior who loves us so much and washes away these doubts, lies and sins. Thanks for sharing with #SocialButterflySunday! Hope to see you link up again this week 🙂

While we should be Thankful EVERY single day of our lives… Thanksgiving really helps remind all of us about how grateful we should be about ALL of our blessings!

Amen to that, Mary! Christ has renewed us and is continuing to grow us every day! We don’t have to be held back by our past! Thanks for the good words, and never forget them!
