Faithfully He Guides Me on the Path of Love and Truth

September 2, 2016 By Mary Hill 10 Comments

Jesus Faithfully Guides My Path

My Lord, faithfully guides my path.

My path leads to all new directions.

He fills my day with love, happiness, and peace.

I am on a path that sometimes can seem lonely, rough, and filled with obstacles.

My path of pain is one I walk through the night.

My path of happiness comes in the morning.

He faithfully shines goodness no matter the direction of my path.

Some days the path can seem so high, clear, and wonderful.

These are days that it is easy to tread ahead with awe and excitement.

Other days the way seems murky, dark, and dim.

My life full of storms, I make my way,

Sometimes, I fall and bruise my heels.

Other times, I stop to scared to proceed.

That is when the Holy Spirit envelops me.

He waits with me in my stillness and uncertainty.

He  faithfully cares for me. Encourages me. Uplifts me.

When I gain my second wind, I move on with praise and wonder in my heart.

The darkness seems to lighten and I see a bright light ahead.

Jesus Faithfully Guides Us

Can you relate to my poem above today?

Where are you on your path?

God is there if you accept Him and let Him in.

How does Jesus faithfully guide us? As a young woman, I strayed in my heart and chose the world over the Lord.

But I remember the day that Jesus met me in a Christian bookstore. My fingers tingled with longing. He guided me home.

During my life, great periods of time have never lapsed between meeting with Him or hearing His loving voice. He found me even when I stopped looking for Him.

If you feel like you have strayed down a wrong path, you can turn and find your way back to Him.

First, listen for His still voice. Seek it out. Hunger for it with all your heart.

Secondly, pray that despite all that you have done that He will come to you and Guide You Home.

Finally remember, even though it seems so simplistic,  our walk with Him is true rest. He faithfully waits to bear our burdens.

He waits to guide us home on His True Path. Click To Tweet

I also love Kate’s choice of scripture today for the Five Minute Friday prompt this week:

Proverbs 3:5-6 —

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.

He will make your paths straight.

What a blessing are your words in this post! I am praying the Lord will allow those who have been discouraged to find your hope-filled words. It can be easy to feel there is no going to Him when we have strayed and often we do not hear the words of love and grace welcoming us home. Blessings on this anointed message.
