Entering a Growing Season
I sit in my living room this morning wonder what I should write and realize, I have an online conference with my daughter’s guidance counselor. The only problem, I can’t get through because their telephone line remains busy.
The conference involves developing a high school graduation plan for my daughter. What courses will she take for the rest of her high school years?
Do you remember your high school years? Mine flew by so quickly, and now, my daughter’s are flying by too.
Life is a matter of seasons and growth. Some seasons you get a lot of busy signals and it seems your life is put on hold. Other season life flies by so quickly and you wonder what you accomplished.
No matter the season, you can rest assured God is with you and directing your life.
Just some thoughts on a Monday morning waiting for the phone lines to clear.
Now on to our weekly linkup. First, please follow me on your social media. I love to hear from you:

Oh boy, I graduated so long ago from high school, but yes, I kinda sorta remember those days of planning for my future .. ugh not fond memories. I was the kid who didn’t know what I wanted to do.. and then those tests they made us take to tell us what job would best fit us – double ugh…. oh, and then did so with my two gets too. An exciting and yet it can be a little stressful too. I like you analogy of how we go through seasons where we will get busy signals in our life. It’s important to notice the seasons. thanks for hosting. blessings.

Yes, time & the perception of time is such a strange thing!
My eldest granddaughter is now working with 6 years of High School behind her & further tertiary training completed! Another two grandchildren are in their high school years too! Where has time gone!
Great post Mary, I hope you & your husband are having better days…

I love the concept of seasons. God keeps bringing me back to the hope they bring, both in the things to come and what will end. God is so good to walk with us through each one!
And thank you for sharing my post. I’m so glad you found it inspiring!

Mary, I know what you mean about time flying by! Not only did my high school years fly by but so did my children’s and now my grandchildren’s! Some of them are married already. Thanks for hosting and have a blessed week.
Hey Mary, I visited Rebecca’s place last week, but I think I’m going back for more! I love that point from her post that you highlighted…about how the best moment is the present. Thank’s for hosting!

Yes – not only my high school years, but my sons’ seemed to fly by as well. Waiting can be so frustrating. Amen to the truth that whether waiting or busy, God’s in control and growing us. Praying you’ll get through to the counselor soon and get things worked out for your daughter’s high school plans

Oh yes, I look back at my high school years, and those of my children, and wonder where the time has gone? It seems like a flash now, but it felt so long while we were in the middle of it. I continue to pray for you and your family, Mary! Blessings to you!
