Romans 8:28
The Message (MSG)
26-28 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
This scripture sometimes is hard to hold onto when your world is crashing in around you. I feel for those in Colorado today, and pray for them as they face the flooding. Amen.

This week’s theme: Something Good
God is good. He loves us all and I uplift His name. He always rescues those in need; He provides for those who hunger. Just call on His name today.

My best summer time memory is:
When my husband saved the rabbits from drowning. You can read all of the details in my August 17 post.

Finally, but not least, time for Five Among Friends
This week’s questions are from Sydney @ http://southernnewlywed22.blogspot.com/
1. If you could pick up and move anywhere for one year where would it be?
I would love to hike the Appalachians or the Pacific Northwest Trail. I am leaning toward the Pacific Northwest because of the book by Wild by Cheryl Strayed.
2. What accomplishment are you most proud of? I am proud of my service as a school librarian.
I loved touching the lives of so many children. I hated retiring so early.
3. What is your idea of the perfect date?
Anywhere with my husband, but perfect would involve a really nice restaurant and art exhibit opening and then a hotel room for just the two of us.
4. What is your biggest pet peeve?
My pet peeve is having to call a health insurance company about claims they should pay. I pay my premium but it seems they try to pay as little as possible. The national health care system in the United States is deplorable and inhumane. Off soap box, off soap box. Sorry. I did say it was a pet peeve.
5. How has blogging benefited your life?
I have something to look forward to every single day. I am writing more and my creativity is at all time high. I am working on my novel and writing poetry. I love the feedback, and I feel like I am making a contribution to everyone else in my own small way. I know it’s not Nobel-prize level contributions, but I hope I help someone everyday in some small way. Helping others smile, laugh, or even get joyfully teary eyed is what my blog is all about.

Not sure how I missed the FTSF linkup part, but you are right we have quite a bit in common. I, too, have had my issues with the healthcare system, especially during my second pregnancy being high risk. Truly ridiculous how I had to fight for them to pay for something that was indeed supposed to covered. Thanks god my doctor had my back and helped me the whole way, but still this can be oh so stressful. So happy you joined us Mary and look forward to weeks to come now!!
Love what you have shared here.
Thanks for sharing at Essential Fridays.
