I sit in my living room pondering the word, enjoy
In my daughter’s bedroom, I hear laughter and fun.
My life brims with the sounds of a dryer turning, my dog snoring beside me, and my cat undercover in my bedroom. As I ponder the simple happenings, I take a moment to enjoy the here and now.
My daughter dances as she cleans her room.
Across town, my mom is probably enjoying her day with her granddaughter as my sister’s family prepares for a big move to a beautiful, new house.
I only have to expand my mind to discover blessings everywhere.
What a peaceful exercise, I discover.
Maybe when I stress, this is something I need to do.
When I am not feeling well, and my pain is searing.
Like Paul, I can think myself happy and discover ways to enjoy myself every day.
The mobs arrested Paul and jailed him. He often faced death while God blesses me beyond compare.
How can I not discover how to enjoy this life God has given me?
Discover means to find something unexpectedly in the course of a search. I find I can enjoy my life when I store up my memories of God’s blessings and His grace.
