Wait proceeds change.
Delay heavily breathes in a room of quiet where you sit in anticipation of the next hours in your life.
It colors life in gray hues.
The wait seems to refuse to bloom.
Conditions Caused By Wait
Summer hanging on blocking the arrival of Fall, with brilliant leaves and cool weather.
A desert time when the Israelis wondered in circles until the Lord allowed them to take the Promise Land.
The time you anticipate word from a doctor about the condition of a loved one.
Suspended in time by a phone listening for a call about medical tests.
Wait is a servant that labors in the background.
I know him personally. I try to hurry him, and my faith plummets to my feet.
My hope disappears because he neglects my emotional needs of knowing everything will be okay.
He turns to faith and tells Faith to step in because we’ve entered a season of delay.
I don’t like Wait. Sometimes, I wish he would jump in a lake.
I want my answers now yesterday.
I wish my problems gone in an instant, blown to smithereens.
Wait takes the form of a harsh taskmaster.
But if I bypass Wait, I miss God’s blessings and seeing God’s glory unveil in my life.
When I circumvent and rush God’s delays, I forsake eagle wings.
