Psalm 51:15
O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
We open so many things in our lifetime.
We open doors; we open bottles; we open windows; we open our hearts; we open our minds,
Every morning we open our eyes.
I fail so many times to acknowledge the need to remain agape and barred to Him.
When I open myself up, I feel vulnerable to failure.
I know I cannot sustain this openness.
I close up and wall up because I let God down every day.
I even fail to love Him with all my heart. I fail to spend time with Him. I fail to seek Him.
Failure greets me in the morning.
It is a struggle of flesh and spirit.
My spirit is willing, but my flesh weak.
Faith and love need to indwell my heart daily.
It starts once again with prayer and drawing close to Him.
Taking up my cross and following Him daily.
How do you remain open to the Holy Trinity? How do you allow them to enter into your soul and heart?

I love the clarity you give to the many ways we can be open. First to open up my heart to the holy spirit and ask him to lead my in his way and is what honors him. Open to love and that opens to possible criticism. I can’t articulate as well as you did, but in reading your words, I know for anything new to happen in my life I can’t close down, I have to open up.
