Only in the Southeast can weather take you on a crazy winter rollercoaster ride. Last Thursday, my community faced three tornado warnings, high winds, and flooding as the temperature hit close to 72 degrees. Then on Friday, we lost our power for most of the day.
On Saturday morning, I woke up to fat snowflakes falling out of the sky. Of course, the warmth of the ground from the severe weather and standing water caused the snow to melt on contact. Our winter wonderland turned muddy as a steady rain returned in the afternoon.
Counties to the north of me in my state received more snow.
Today, rain is back along with the pain and fatigue of arthritis and fibro. Winter challenges loom as I try to write. The wild weather impacts my joints and moods.
I cling, however, to the happy moments like the one above of my cat watching the snowflakes fall to the ground, celebrating a special birthday, and looking forward to the warm pool tomorrow where I spend time completing water physical therapy.
I also continue to write for the Write 28 Days Challenge sponsored by Anita Ojeda. I will catch up each day a little at a time, but I am determined to write for this challenge and succeed. Thank you for your patience.

Next, lets review last week’s linkup.

Thanks for featuring my soup recipes!
This must be the year of crazy weather, I live in Arkansas and we have certainly had our share with snow, rain and 70 degrees all in a 3 day span. I love the warm days, but the flowers are trying to bloom.
We had some crazy weather, too, with rain, flooding, and the kind of snow you mentioned that melted on contact. No tornadoes here, though one touched down near friends in SC. I’m sorry the weather affects you in such ways–hope the therapy pool helps.
Thank you for your kind words about my post. I will have to check out the one on soups–love them this time of year.

I hear you Mary with crazy weather patterns! We too are having them in Australia, we have gone from severe drought, extreme heat & hellish firestorms to cold, thunderous rainstorms & flooding!
And totally hear you about the weather impacting your physical conditions, I agree & understand, it’s just plain nasty!
Bless you,
Jennifer
