Breathe Grace, Breathe Love

February 3, 2017 By Mary Hill 10 Comments

Today, I take time to reflect, to breathe, to pray, to grow

It is the only way, I delve deeper and know

He is real. He is Lord. He is all

I rest in faith and answer His call

To draw nearer and seem Him clearer.

Breathe in His essence

His grace and presence

I measure my days with your Holy Scriptures

Your words make me life richer

And fill it with adventure

Breathe them Lord into my life

And fill me with ‘

Your  Divine Truths

Today, I join in the community of Five Minute Friday at Kate Motaung. Be sure to head over to her page for blessings and a major announcement as we all write our poetry and prose focused on the word: Breathe.

My Scripture Inspiration for today is:

.

2 Timothy 3:16 Amplified Bible (AMP)
All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage];

Acts 17:28  (KJV)

For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Walking with Him, takes daily sacrifice and offerings of love and worship. How do we accomplish this in our busy lives? We find pure moments of worship. Not just fitting them in where we can, but by living in  His Spirit continuously and praying without ceasing. Our very breath is Him when we  wake up every morning with prayer and praise, and we make a divine appointment to break bread and sup with Him and remember His great sacrifice on a tree more than 2000 years ago.

Thanks for joining in with me today as I sing His praise of truth and love to the world. I pray that if you don’t know Him that today will be the day you find Him. He waits with his arms wide open for you. Just surrender and give in to Him. He will fill you with love and grace beyond compare.

Say this special prayer:

“Lord, I want to breathe you. I want to find you. I want you to take my life and mold it to your will.  Forgive me for walking in the

light of darkness. Forgive my sins and fill me with Your presence and Your Divine Grace. Become Lord o f My Life Today.”

Did you pray that simple prayer with all your heart and soul?

How do you  find time to slow down and just breathe His love and promises in to your life? Share today your prayers and your scriptures. Put your links to your special Five Minute Friday posts in your comments so I can come by and read them. Thank You and God Bless.

Lord, I want to breathe you. I want to find you. I want you to take my life and mold it.

    Hello Mary

What a lovely poem. I used to asked myself why didn’t I accept Christ a long time ago and saved myself so much grief but when I think about this I was not ready to give up the life I was leading. The truth is that I loved it. Don’t let anyone fool you. They loved being in sin and you did not want to hear the word of God. “We have to be ready to receive the word of God and allow it to change us. You cant get it by riding on your family coat tails. “Well my family is saved I must be saved.” Not true but a lot of people think that. A few years before I came to Christ I had a friend that would invite me to church and I told her “The church may burn down if I walk up in there.” I really thought I was not good enough to come into the House of the Lord. Really I thought that way.

What we need to understand is God does not want any of us to perish. But people perish for lack of knowledge. God is not mad at us He loves us and He wants us to be saved. If we want to be saved we must accept Christ as our personal savior with the remission of sin and believed in your heart that Jesus rose from dead. See Romans 10:9-10 Confess from your mouth believe in your heart. You will have eternal life but it starts with us. Jesus paid the price but you have to believe it. When we finally come to Christ and asked Him into heart He will come. Its that simple. You don’t have to jump through hoops or turnaround 10 times or etc. Jesus loves us no matter where you came from and what you have done in your life. If you study the bible Jesus ate with sinners and talked to them. He did not look down on anybody and He accepted anybody that believed on Him. The choice is ours.

May the grace of God sustain us!

Mary, I had an image of Jesus breathing on the disciples telling them to receive the Holy Spirit this week when I was driving to lead a Bible study. I asked Him to breathe on me and our group. I love how you reversed it for us to breathe in His presence and love. Glad I visited today!

I need to take more time to simply stop, breathe and praise our God. It can be so easy to forget in the business of life. Thanks for this gentle reminder.

I love the line, “I measure my days with your Holy Scriptures.” I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how we measure ourselves and our time. We are so tempted to measure by those around us instead of the inspired word of God! Thanks for the encouragement today.

Kathy, I am so glad that inspired you. You added to it and inspired me. I wrote it, but I didn’t really get the depth of what I wrote until I read your comment.
