Beach Scenes: Nature’s Sculptures

August 12, 2015 By Mary Hill 14 Comments

During our recent vacation to Litchfield, we travelled down to Georgetown where we took part in a Rover Tour to the secluded North Island at the mouth of Winyah Bay. The island greeted us in splendor. Natural driftwood sculptures dotted the landscape. Here are some of the sites I captured for Wordless Wednesday.

Tree Art on the Beach

This drift wood settled on the beach and looks like a wiry hand with long thing fingers reaching toward the sky.

I love the idea of looking at them as natural driftwood sculptures. Beautiful what nature creates!

These are some beautiful photos! You should have some of them framed! I love the one of the trees bent over into the sand! Thanks for the photos!

Sweet shots. I love the beach, we were blessed to be able to spend a few full summers on the beach when the boys were small, I cherish those memories. I especially love the shot with the trees! It’s almost eerie. Thank you!

I live near the beach and every morning on my school run I always walk on the shore because of the lovely driftwoods! They are always so dramatic like these ones!

Merlinda, you are so lucky. I used to live in Georgetown but couldn’t go to beach much because of lack of public access.

It was. You had to take a tour boat to get to it. Definitely worth the trip. 🙂

Hello, I love to walk on the beach. The driftwood does look like cool sculptures. Awesome shot of the birds in flight. Great post, enjoy your day!

I like the drama that driftwoods bring to shores. There’s something about it I can’t explain. 🙂
