By Mary Hill
I seek Him in the daylight and in the night.
When my world is filled with fright.
He gathers me in His warm embrace
As the thunder reigns outside
As my enemies clamor to destroy me.
He defends me against the adversary.
He is all I need.
He is my everything.
When He spread His arms of Love on the Cross of Calvary.
He shed blood of innocence for a punishment He did not deserve.
He lived to die for you and me.
Why does the world hate Him so?
He lived to die for you and me.
His life was about sacrifice,
Love, and salvation.
He paid the ultimate cost to set an example of love and forgiveness.
His blood will cleanse even the greatest sinner. Accept and believe.
He waits for you.

The Ultimate gift of love, what more could we ask for?

Heartfelt words. I see you are also on the 10 Thankful things challenge. I just started doing that as well. It is a great exercise in gratitude. Good luck on the A-Z challenge. You’ve got a great start here.
Nothing but the blood of Jesus…powerful words today and always. Thanks for sharing your words Mary.
This is a very powerful poem. I have been faced with trials and tribulations and at time I question my faith. But this reminds me that Jesus went through worse things than I. Thanks for reminding me. http://iwritepicturebooks.wordpress.com
Thanks for the encouragement. I will pray for all of you tonight. 🙂
Lovely poem…we all connect to god, whether we realise it or not.
Beautifully written Mary. The first stanza is so uplifting and I also like the images used.

Beautiful poem, and thanks for the reminder, Mary. We should seek God not at our convenience, but day and night! Shells–Tales–Sails
