It is Five Minute Friday time: time to let my hands dance on the keyboard or talk into my microphone for 5 minutes solid. Just write what comes out based on a single word prompt provided by our event organizer, Kate Motaung. This exercise is about more than just writing. It is also about community. Once you have written your five-minute piece, you then link up with hundreds of other bloggers on Kate’s Five Minute Friday link up page. Then as writers, we share the love and visit each others’ posts and give supportive feedback.
Today’s word is Adore.

The sweet sound of a baby cooing. The round face of love. Little toes and fingers stretching out. Feet kicking in the air. Around Him, the sounds of donkey baying, cow tail swishing, and a rooster’s crow. The smells of musty animals and hay.
Not an ideal place for a baby to enter the world. I think back to when my little one was born in the clean, sterile hospital room, warmly heated from the outside cold and rain. I adored her. Every little part of her. Her bright eyes, pretty lips, and sweet fingers and toes.
I share the birth of a child with Mary. On the nights of our children’s births, our hearts overflowed with adoration.

I love imagining the feelings that Mary had on that day, much like our own on our babies’ birthdays. Thank you for conjuring up those feelings of adoration!
It’s the birth of Christ amazing.

I love this! What a great idea to do this every Friday. It is even better with a story like this one. It helps us remember that Christmas is more that gifts and Santa and actually about Christ.
You’ve stirred up some sweet memories today! Thanks for sharing 😀
