A Growing Community of Thankfulness

Ten Things of Thankful

1. I agree with our host Lizzy, from Considerings. This blog hop continues to grow in number every week, and as we grow in members, we become more of a community. It is good to know that people live with a daily sense of thankfulness for the many blessings God bestows on us.
2.  I am leaving for “vacay”  as my daughter calls it. I am excited. In a few days, we travel to Charlotte where we will spend about four days seeing the sites and visiting Carowinds. I can’t wait for the break. We will have computers on the trip with us. I can’t stay unconnected for long now. My granddaughter is so excited about seeing the dinosaurs. I can’t wait for the trip to start.

3. I am excited about the new season about to come. I loved this summer. It was the first cool one I can ever remember. We did not top 90 degrees more than maybe five days this summer. We had lots of rain, but I will take the rain for the cool, lovely summer days that we had. Now, we move into Fall in September. The days get shorter, but the countryside blazes with fiery colors.
4.  My daughter is returning to school. She’s just as excited as me. Our summer goals did not get done. My other daughter needed to go to the doctor so often for her health issues. She is mending and on her feet now. With the fall, I can look at my writing goals, and hopefully make headway on my book and improving my blog.
5.  I am learning more about using my Kindle thanks to this website sent to me by Michael Fedison. I am reviewing his book and will have my review up soon. I learned how to upload the mobi of his book to Kindle. I am exploring the website to learn how to better use my Kindle. http://acflory.wordpress.com/how-to-kindle
6.  I am halfway through Mr. Fedison’s book:
7.  I signed up for SITS Girls today. I have been waiting to find opportunities to give my readership time to grow. Still trying to decide which affliate programs to join. I don’t want to get rich by any means. I just want to help my family with bills and have some left over for Christmas and to pay for vacations.

8.  The memories I share with my family of this summer.

9.  With my blogging, I have grown closer to God and have new direction and purpose: helping to spread the love of Christ and His message to others.
10.  I am alive today. As long as I breath, I will follow Christ.

I love fall! I’m a bit jealous that your temps have been so cool this summer, but lovely, cooler fall days are ahead.

I hope you have a great vacation! I’ve never been to Charlotte/Carowinds, but have heard great things about Charlotte! Love the school one – my son actually ends school on Thursday and is out until after Labor Day. I hate to admit it but I’m dreading it a little bit! Yikes, what will we do with all of that time?? Your family memories from this summer are perfect ๐Ÿ™‚

I love Carowinds. I haven’t been in years but my girls went with their father a couple years ago and they adored it too. Sounds like you’ll have a great ‘vacay’. ๐Ÿ™‚ We are planning on going to Pigeon Forge on the 16th, then school starts here the week after. We also had a summer full of rain. I’ll miss summer but I adore the autumn coolness and watching the mountainside change into all it’s beautiful colors. This blog is fantastically laid out. My mouse becomes a rose as I move it around. Love it. That is awesome that blogging has brought you closer to God!!!

I agree Mary, the sense of community developing with this blog hop is wonderful! So many good things happening in your life, and it sounds like a lovely vacation in store… enjoy! I love Autumn too, summer is way too hot here in West Texas, 104 yet again today. I grow weary of staying inside because the heat and I aren’t best buddies. Glad you are liking your Kindle, I never thought I’d be one to find it more appealing that the feel of paper and good books, but I have… the convenience and ease of reading is just too nice! I love always having a book or two with me on my iPhone or tablet now. This was a great list, you are indeed blessed!

It’s wonderful to see people come together and support one another. I belong to a LinkedIn group called Bloggers Helping Bloggers, and what we do is visit one another’s blog and leave comments. Reciprocating is another thing that we do, and I’m hoping that you and your readers/blogger will do the same!

    Hello there, Mary.

As I was browsing through your blog, I remember one of the books I read – Attitudes of Gratitude by M. J. Ryan. I am putting all my energy to the positive things right now, especially now with all the trials.

Off to write ten things I am grateful about!

You’ve much to be thankful for. I like these memes you are doing. This one makes us think of all our blessings. I like that.

    Have a terrific day. ๐Ÿ™‚

OH, Charlotte is a lovely place! Have a wonderful time.

Don’t be talking about fall yet! While I, too, have enjoyed the mild summer, I’m not even close to ready for fall to come.

Your summer looks to have been a good one.

I’m glad your blog is helping you with your relationship with God. That’s a beautiful thing.

Your title made me smile so much Mary ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the feeling of community we’re growing here – it’s nothing short of incredible.

The dinosaurs at that place look AWESOME! I hope you have a gorgeous ‘vacay’ and all manage to enjoy yourselves and still get some relaxation in there.

The fall colours sound beautiful where you are – I hope you’re going to share as many gorgeous pics as you did today of your summer.

Glad to hear your daughter’s health is improving.

Thank you for being a part of this ๐Ÿ™‚

Mary, This is really a great blog. It demonstrates that thankfulness doesn’t have to be all about the big things in life, but rather the tiny ones. You have a beautiful family. Have a great vacation!
