Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Flashes of lightning
Rain pouring,
Caught without an umbrella
A kind woman at the bank,
gave me an umbrella and
said don’t worry
about bringing it back.
Simple need
met in an extraordinary way
Kindness offered when
Needed the most.

Your post is a perfect thank you, and a reminder to be kinder to everyone. Thank you.
How kind.
Nice to meet you through the 31 Dayers Mary, glad you left a comment. I think its remarkable that kindness is so extraordinary when it could be ordinary, yes? Lovely write.
The best way to repay someone for doing something kind for you is to do something kind for someone else.
Aw I so love your poem.
The tender mercies of the Lord are many. Sometimes we don’t even realize at the time just how significant the “little” moments of life are.
I love that the little things become our big thankfuls, so much.
Pretty umbrella! And how kind. Sorta restores faith in humankind a bit, doesn’t it 🙂
Yes, it does Lizzi, but my faith was restored with the hop because I get to read about incredible things and kindness every week. 😉
Such a touching poem Mary. God will provide and every person who helps another is an angel on earth.
Amen, so true. 😉
What a beautiful post – really brightened my day, thanks!! #ibabloggers
I am glad you enjoyed it. Thinks for stopping by.
To quick on the publish button. LOL. Meant to say thanks. 🙂
Oh how wonderful! Kindness spreads!
What a lovely gesture – a metaphor for the way we should live our lives.
I always look at the kindnesses of others as opportunities to “pay it forward”. And you documented the thank you in a very special way.
It’s always the little things, Mary, the little things. Well, well said.
You wrote a lovely thank you to the kind woman who gave you an umbrella. Let us hope that kindness spreads.
