We soon enter the season to gather. Gather as families, friends, and communities to celebrate the beauty of love, thanksgiving, and sacrifice.
I know that during the busy holiday season I find myself sometimes mired in busyness. I forget the reason Christ came to earth. He came to gather His kingdom and His people into a new age and to assemble His church on the Rock of our Salvation.
Friendship and fellowship lead to assembling as a Christian church. Jesus promises that where two or three are gathered together in His name there, He will be in the midst of them.
How do we convene and assemble as a church?
We must never forget the Lamb who came to earth in swaddling clothes and died on a tree 2000 years ago.
Amen.
