Family Times and Blog Happenings!
The holiday season is upon us and so is the crazy business of the season. I am so grateful that we will have this weekly hop to help ground us as we approach the holy season of honoring the birth of Christ.
I have a lot to be thankful for this week.
First, we enjoyed Thanksgiving with my sister-in-laws family. I did not have to cook. We went to a local fancy restuarant that is situated in an old house. It was really a pretty place to share Thanksgiving.
I celebrated my mother’s birthday today. We went to a local restuarant too. She has been ill though so I didn’t get to take pictures. She didn’t feel well enough. We still had fun though.
Another great event for the week was receiving this:

I won this wonderful planner from www.womenabiding.com!
No Shave November Ending
My husband ended November, shaving. He went all November without shaving as part of his participation in the No Shave November Cancer Awareness project. He looked so handsome throughout the month. I am so proud of him.
Major Giveaways To Be Thankful For!
I have a lot of giveaways this coming week on my blog. First, I am sponsoring a giveaway to kick off Book Musing Mondays. The giveaway starts Sunday night at 6 p.m. and will run through December 14 until 1 a.m. I am working with my co-host, Ashley Hales, and two other book review blogger to promote the hop and giveaway. Check back. We are giving away some great books. What do you think of the Book Musing Mondays button? The sweet cat belongs to my sister who took this picture for my old blog header: Mary-andering Among the Pages.
Here is the picture of me and my co-host:
I really hope you will stop by Monday and support our hop. Any family-friendly posts about books are welcome. Plus, you can participate in our Great Book Giveaway if you live in the United States. The books we are giving way are:
You definitely have to come back for this giveaway and linkup your posts about anything book related.
I am also taking part in a major book tour for The Metabolism Solution. Tour organizers are giving this book away too. The post will be up on December 3. Be sure to come back and particpate.
Finally, this week, I will feature another major giveaway. You will need to check back for my $50 Day Spring Everlasting Light Giveaway. I am still working on this special post and hope to have it up soon.
Contributing to these hops:

That restaurant looks like a lot of fun! I love old houses!
It’s always fun to join in with blog hops and larger promotions, if you have good people to participate with.
I’m glad you had so much fun celebrating. That dessert with the turkey frosted on top looks gorgeous 😀
Pretty decorations and yummy looking food!! I hope you and yours’ had a great Thanksgiving and have happy, blessed and beautiful holidays! xo 🙂
Lots of great things on your list, Mary! I don’t think we’ve ever eaten Thanksgiving at a restaurant – always a family member’s house. That would be fun! (And no dishes!)
Hooray for your Husband joining in the No Shave campaign. Cancer has touched people I love far too often. Thanks from all of us!
Thanks Lisa. It has been a fun, but busy holiday weekend. 🙂
